Greetings! | We were really pleased to receive the email from SSG Natoli which is shared below. His email illustrates how Kick For Nick, the soccer balls and you, our donors, help our soldiers to accomplish their mission and help to heal the Iraqi children and people. |
From the Front Lines |
The following email was received from SSG Gregory Natoli, the field he is referencing is shown in the images below the email.
>>That field was the site of a suicide attack that killed some children and adults earlier this year. The field is located in Tal Afar, Iraq. It was a very sad and very horrific event. We worked with the local government to help them rebuild and to improve the field and the security around the field. The local government wanted to help the people rebuild and show them that they can move on. This soccer field is a memorial to those who perished that day so they will not be forgotten. With your help this was accomplished with great success. The local citizens were very appreciative of this gesture by the local government and by the Kick For Nick organization to help them to get through this tragedy that happened that day. Thank you Mr. Madaras and to all the people who donate to your organization. SSG Natoli >>>
Iraqi children line up to be the first to play on their rebuilt field. |

Photos From a Recent Ball Distribution |
These photos were provided by Bob Wong of the PRT in Iraq. The note that accompanied the photos said, "We recently delivered some soccer balls to Muehla Village in North Babil province. Attached are some photos of the delivery. I have to say that one of the lieutenants who I never see smiling, actually was seen smiling that day. Thank you. BOB"
They make us smile too.
