As mentioned in our last newsletter, we were very honored when Nick was chosen as one of several American Heroes to be featured in video tributes over the Memorial Day weekend by both ABC and the American Legion/Military Channel. If you did not catch the videos live, you can view them on the Kick for Nick website. Both videos are beautifully filmed, written and edited and we are honored to share them with you.

I just wanted to write you and thank you for everything you have done for our Platoon over the last six months. (...) With your help, we have managed to give out hundreds of soccer balls to children throughout the Diyala Province. These soccer balls have helped us build relationships in the local communities and to accomplish our mission here.
Our Soldiers have also appreciated all the care packages and the recent shipment of socks. (...) Thank you again for everything.

5,516 flags were placed on the lawn to represent the members of our armed forces who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
