From the Front Lines


...Thank you so much. We used a good number of the balls we have received last week during a school grand opening. We renovated the school that included their sports room. We gave them balls proudly showing Nick's name. As always, we explained the entire story to the students and P.E. teacher.

Madaras' Meet General Petraeus
 

Madaras and Petraeus

Bill and Shalini Madaras met with General David Petraeus at HELP USA's  25th Anniversary Tribute Awards Dinner that was held in his honor..
 
The General presented Bill and Shalini and the Kick for Nick program with the coin of his current post as COMMANDER U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND.  The General asked if Kick for Nick had been extended to the troops in Afghanistan and was pleased to hear that it has been.

28,713 at last count for balls distributed by our troops to Iraqi and Afghani children!
 
Below is a shipment of socccer balls shipped to Afghanistan from Bonney Lake, Washington.  The soldier who received them was thrilled.  His reply upon seeing th shipment says it all: "Look at all the soccer balls I just got and this is only 3 boxes. There are 3 more coming. OMG!!!!"
