The work continues as soccer balls are sent to us from around the country and we pack them up and ship them out to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. From the letter and photos below, you're sure to agree with us that the Kick For Nick Foundation is having a positive impact on the children and helping our troops to do their jobs a bit more safely.

A Message from the Front Lines |
...First and foremost, I want to thank you for all the effort you put forth into helping American soldiers win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi youth...one soccer ball at a time. I commend the effort you've put forth in continuing Nick's dream...and I know he's smiling down with joy as he see's the work you continue to do in his name, and for his brothers at arms.
It's unbelievable how much of an impression a soldier can make, with a gesture [that to us is] so simple, in the eyes of an Iraqi child. The war has taken such a psychological twist in recent years ... to the point where a lollipops, baseballs, and soccerballs help keep soldiers alive more than bullets and body armor do. (Read more)

Danbury High School Supports Kick For Nick |

The Peer Leadership Group and the DECA Club (Distributive Education Club of America) created a program to collect soccer balls in honor of Nick. The students collected 1000 soccer balls as well as $500 to assist in their shipment. On Veteran's Day, a school-wide assembly of 3,500 students and staff members gathered in the football stadium to present the donation. To see more photos of this amazing event, click here. | |
