Greetings! |
We would like to express our personal gratitude to everyone who has shown support for our troops and has helped honor Nick's memory through the Kick For Nick effort. The outpouring of support has been greater and more far-reaching than we ever could have imagined. We know that this support has been a rewarding experience for our troops and truly appreciated by the children in Iraq and Afghanistan and we hope it has also been gratifying to all those who have participated. With our sincerest thanks, Bill, Shalini, Marie & Christopher Madaras |
Ball Update - 25,000 and counting! |
We've made it to 25,000 soccer balls donated in Nick's name to the children of Iraq and Afghanistan. It's amazing to think that there are 25,000 soccer games taking place throughout these war-torn countries thanks to the generosity of our donors.
Our hope is that these many thousands of children will have the opportunity to experience the same thrill and joy of playing soccer that made Nick love the game so very much.
Shown above are some of the children and troops who helped collect soccer balls at one of our first collections in Stow, OH.
Below are two of our youngest supports, Caitlyn and Camille, also of Stow, OH.

A Message from the Front Lines |
Dear Bill:
Just wanted to drop you a short note to let you know that we travelled to a nearby village yesterday (14 Jun, the US Army's birthday) to distribute the soccer balls we received from the Kick for Nick organization to the kids and it was a madhouse, but it was exhilarating none the less. The children were so happy, even amid so much poverty, to receive the generous donation; it was by far the best day I have ever experienced in Afghanistan. (continue reading at KickForNick.org...)
