Sharing your faith, growing the church, and advertising your church have all been grouped into one big umbrella called "evangelism." It's become the dreaded word in today's church. It is uncomfortable, unclear and unwelcome in most churches. But, as Jesus was leaving his disciples, he gave them a mandate to "go out into all the world and make disciples." 

This directive is central to what we should be focusing on as individuals and as church communities, so we think we should really understand what Jesus was talking about and how we can obey.  We think it has more to do with Jesus wanting them to BE witnesses than to DO witness.
