If you are looking to keep learning and stay active as you reach and enjoy retirement, consider becoming a part of OLLI, an organization of Peoria-area residents who are enjoying the best of life-after-50 as they participate in educational events designed just for them!
Only two requirements apply to OLLI members: you must be at least 50 years old... and have a love of learning. If you meet those "prerequisites," OLLI offers you a variety of learning experiences in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Learning Trips
Learning Trips travel year-round to local, regional, and international destinations. All land excursions travel via our comfortable, easy-access OLLI shuttles or by charter coach.
Classes
Classes meet at Bradley University on Wednesdays in April and October, and on four consecutive days the second week of January. A typical day lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with several breaks (and snacks!) throughout the day.
Study Groups
Study Groups meet throughout the year, and throughout the community, convening weekly for two hours and continuing for up to eight sessions.
Cinema
For movie buffs, Cinema Conversations takes movie-viewing to another level by offering multiple sessions to really tackle a film and related readings. Dinner and a Movie trips combine the screening of a film with the experience of visiting a theatre and enjoying a meal with your peers.
