Welcome

Welcome, Gwen and Debbie!

This month, Continuing Education welcomed two new staff members, Debbie Finnegan and Gwen Howarter.

Debbie, Pictured on the left, will be mostly working to support Executive Director Janet Lange, but our OLLI members will see her on some upcoming trips and events.

Gwen, pictured on the right, will be the point of contact for our members regarding OLLI Learning Trips, Cinema, and Lectures.  Our participants will see her on many trips, and she will be one of the friendly voices answering the phone when you call our office.

We are so happy to have Debbie and Gwen as a part of the Continuing Education Family.  Be sure to give them a warm welcome next time you see them at an OLLI event or in our office!

Support OLLI at the Trivia Night Fundraiser

We still have plenty of seats available at our fun, relaxed Trivia Night Fundraiser!

Even if you've never played trivia before, this event will allow everyone to have fun while maybe even learning a new thing or two.

But for those who are still wary of a trivia event, there are other ways for you to support OLLI's fundraiser:

- Purchase a seat and join us as an observer

- Make a donation to OLLI in place of attending-- our online registration form makes it easy with a donation button right next to Trivia sign-up

- Spread the word!  We will be making our team assignments over the coming week, so if you know anyone who may be interested in joining us, feel free to share this attached flyer with them: OLLI Trivia Flyer

OLLI's high quality programming would not be possible without all of our donors' support, so thank you for all that you do!

Cost : $45 per person includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, coffee, tea and water and a spot at a table of 8 to compete on a trivia team. $360 for a table of 8.

Click here to register or call the office at 677-3900 for more information.

Music

Music Lessons for Adults and Kids

Bradley University invites OLLI members to give the gift of music - to themselves or a young person!

For Adults.   If you have ever dreamed of learning how to play the piano or guitar; or if you would simply like to rekindle your interest in playing one of these instruments, then you will find the perfect fit through Bradley's Music Lessons for Adults program.  Offering private piano lessons and group classical guitar lessons, this program gives you the opportunity to learn at your level!

For Young People.   Give the gift of music to a young person - perhaps to your grandchild.  Music Preparatory School for Youth offers private piano and semi-private classical guitar instruction for Central Illinois youth.  Led by Bradley faculty experienced in teaching music to children, Music Prep offers preparatory-level instruction through an innovative, child-focused curriculum.

Lessons are forming now for the fall semester, so visit the website for the Music Preparatory School for Youth where additional details are available - including pricing and registration information.  All lessons are offered in the studios in Constance Hall at Bradley University.
