MCCLV receives Award from Red Cross 

 

MCCLV received the
2013 International Service
"Everyday Hero Award"
 

MCCLV was recognized by the Red Cross for the outstanding achievement of our 2013 Global Outreach Project: Saving Children from Malaria.

  

The award was presented during a ceremony at the Paris Hotel on October 17th and included a special video on MCCLV prepared by KLAS-TV Channel 8. The video will be broadcast to the Las Vegas community on Channel 8 on the following dates:

 

October 29th @ 4pm

October 30th @ Noon  

 

We will include the links for the video NEXT week after it is broadcast.

"Saving Children from Malaria"
EXCEEDS our Goal for the entire year      
MCCLVs 2013 Global Outreach Project    

Malaria is a leading cause of death and disease worldwide. In Africa, a child dies from malaria every 60 seconds.

Malaria is transmitted by mosquitoes and a simple $5 bed net will protect up to 3 children.

Each year MCCLV seeks to make a difference and to change and improve the world in which we live. This year, we are partnering with the CDC Foundation to stop the spread of Malaria and save the lives of 100s of children.

Our goal is to raise $1500 which will provide 300 nets and save 900 children. 

Received to date: $2,272.07       

(454 nets protecting 1363 children)
