Poor Richard's Players is bringing its unique brand of storytelling to the ever-popular musical Godspell. Created by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak, this show debuted off-Broadway in 1971 and enjoyed a revival on Broadway in 2011. Artistic Director Lysander Abadia directs this production for Las Vegas audiences. This timeless story recounts the story of the disciples of Jesus, using text from the gospels of Matthew and Luke. Through parables this musical shows how a group of seemingly disparate individuals come together to form a community and how this community survives the tragic loss of one of its members. Performing in the intimacy of the Onyx Theatre, director Lysander Abadia has chosen to return to the original text and with musical director Karalyn Clark has deconstructed the music to find the purity and simplicity within the inherent message - that through a strong community we can all "build a beautiful city." This amazing cast of performers promises to deliver a Godspell never seen or heard before; the greatest story every told as only Poor Richard's Players can tell it.

 MCCLVs 2013 Global Outreach Project
Malaria is a leading cause of death and disease worldwide. In Africa, a child dies from malaria every 60 seconds.
Malaria is transmitted by mosquitoes and a simple $5 bed net will protect up to 3 children.
Each year MCCLV seeks to make a difference and to change and improve the world in which we live. This year, we are partnering with the CDC Foundation to stop the spread of Malaria and save the lives of 100s of children.
Our goal is to raise $1500 which will provide 300 nets and save 900 children.
Received to date: $1611.31 (322 nets protecting 966 children). Your gift of ANY amount is appreciated towards this goal. $20 protects 12 children $50 protects 30 children $100 protects 60 children

As part of our Mother's Day observance, we collected NEW (in the package) underwear & socks for mothers and children to be donated to SafeNest and Shade Tree and received a 2nd offering for cash donations. Women seeking shelter from abusive relationships often arrive with only the clothes on their backs.
You purchased a total of 985 garments and our 2nd Offering was $574. After we announced the total of the CASH that had been given another member came forward to donate an ADDITIONAL $500. We used the total cash of $1,074 to purchase additional items. Totals for all items are as follows:

821 pairs of socks
64 other
2071 TOTAL of all garments
(Our 2012 combined total was 1567)
