Now Accepting Interest Notifications for Delegates To The National Council Session
Every three years the members of the corporation of Girl Scouts of the USA gather at a central location to conduct the business of the National Council. Each Girl Scout Council according to the Constitution of Girl Scouts of the USA, as defined in the Blue Book of Basic Documents, elects Delegates from the Council to the National Council Session.

Nominations are now being accepted for Council Delegates to the National Council Session to be held October 2-8, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.

If you meet the nomination criterion as listed here and are willing to accept the responsibilities as listed, please send an email request for the Application for National Council Session Delegate (Adult or Girl as applicable). Include your full name, address, birth date, Girl Scout membership status and questions in the email request for application to: delegate@gssef.org.

Additional information and instructions will be sent to eligible candidates that will indicate next steps and deadlines. A slate of delegates to be elected will be presented at the next Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida Annual Meeting on February 18, 2017.

Fall Product Sale Program Is Coming Soon
October 1 - November 15
Our 2016 Fall Product Sale Program is an awesome way for troops to start their new Girl Scout year. Troops and girls that participate can earn money for their programs and activities throughout the year. Girls can also earn  rewards. It is intended to reach family, friends, teachers and neighbors.

The Council's Fall Product Sale Program helps girls develop five key leadership skills: goal-setting, decision making, people skills, money management and business ethics.

Girls can sell nuts and candy items and magazine subscriptions to anyone - friends, family, neighbors, and teachers, online and in person.

Again this year, girls will be selling 'Save Around' coupon books in person.

The theme for this year's Fall Product Sale Program is Explore Something Different featuring a koala. Check out some fun facts about koalas here.

Volunteers and families are integral to the success of our product sales and we appreciate your support during the 2016 Fall Product Sale Program.

Don't forget that besides new school supplies, you'll also need all your Girl Scout gear because your next Girl Scout adventure is ready and waiting for you.

To help you get started, the GSSEF Retail Stores are featuring a Back to Troop promotion. Starting August 17 through October 15, 2016, spend $75 or more in-store and receive a $10 Coupon to spend on a $25 or more purchase from November 1 to November 18, 2016*. The $75 purchase can be made in store or online and must be made in one transaction.

A great item to add to your shopping list is a Starter Kit or Essentials Kit that has everything you need to get your Girl Scout year started right. And it includes a super cute drawstring bag while supplies last.

*Please Note: The $10 coupon given out at stores can only be used at the store that issues the coupon. $10 coupon codes that are sent to customers who shop online can only be redeemed online at www.girlscoutshop. Troop #10450 and friends hosted a great crayon clean-out program supporting the Crayon Initiative. The event collected over 350 pounds of recycled crayons and girls created beautiful recycled masterpieces in the process! What a colorful way for the girls to give back.

Girl Scout Troop #11641 retired three flags during a Flag Retirement Ceremony to honor local veterans and their families. The girls learned the significance of the American flag and what each stripe and star represents. They invited local veterans and their families to the ceremony. Each girl had a part to read and a stripe to cut and burn. The flags were donated by Trinity Lutheran Church of Pembroke Pines.
