To our valued members of the Girl Scout community, we'd like to share an announcement from Girl Scouts of the USA's CEO, Anna Maria Chvez. Starting in the Girl Scout 2018 membership year, which officially begins October 1, 2017, the annual national membership dues will increase to $25 for girls and adults.

We want to remind you that all membership dues go directly to the national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA; no portion of this money is retained by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. While this fee increase will impact many families, we know that a Girl Scout membership is one of the most valuable investments anyone can make in a girl's life.
This upcoming increase is needed to support GSUSA's research and continued investment and development of new technology and enhancements to girls' program experiences in the outdoors, life skills, entrepreneurship, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). You can find more information in a letter from Anna Maria Chvez, along with a FAQ sheet about this announcement.
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is committed to ensuring that all girls, regardless of financial means, can fully participate in our Girl Scout program, and we will continue to provide financial assistance accordingly. If you have questions or would like to provide us with feedback, please email Lori Sullivan, Chief Customer Officer, at lsullivan@gssef.org or call Lori at 954-513-3764.
