Save the Date for the Great Give - May 3rd
Help us reach our goal of raising $5000 during the Great Give to help girls participate in Girl Scouts. Here's how your donation helps our girls:
 
$30 - Provides membership dues for a new Girl Scout
$50 - Provides a uniform and book set for  
a new Girl Scout
$75 - Provides healthy snacks for 35 underserved girls during their troop meetings
$100 - Provides training for eight new Troop Leaders
Great Give Palm Beach and Martin Counties is a 24-hour online giving event led by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach County, United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County. It is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in a single day. This community-wide event celebrates the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to strengthen our community by raising critical funds for local nonprofits.

Once again, GSSEF will participate in this extraordinary day of giving. Help us reach our goal of raising $5000 during this year's Great Give. Please give online beginning at midnight on Tuesday, May 3rd at https://greatgiveflorida.org/npo/girl-scouts-of-southeast-florida. Every local gift will be multiplied with additional dollars from a bonus pool raised by the Community Foundation.

2016 Thin Mint Sprint 5K - More  Locations! More Fun! More Teams!
Thank you to those of you who joined us at one of our three Thin Mint Sprint 5K locations this month! Each of the races was great fun with an overall total of 855 participants joining us this year. Over 60% of our guests participated in the event as part of a team - proving that living a healthy lifestyle is more fun with others!

Let Your Art Take Flight with the Air Race Classic
Flying Cross Country Art Contest
Calling all Girl Scouts 12 to 17 years of age! Do you ever wonder what it's like to fly an airplane or have dreams of an aviation career? Have you ever met a female airplane pilot? Get ready to rock your best creative self and enter the Air Race Classic Flying Cross Country Art Contest. The Air Race Classic, is an annual all-women cross-country airplane race that will take place June 21 - 24.  If you are selected as the winner by best capturing the theme and spirit of the race, you'll win a 30-minute flight with U.S. national aerobatic champion Debby Rihn-Harvey. 
  • Eligibility: Girls 12-17 are eligible to compete for the grand prize. Entrants must be United States residents. For additional information, click here.
  • Entries deadline: Entries are due by June 1.

New GSSEF Website launches May 23

will launch the new GSSEF website. You'll see lots of familiar faces throughout the
site, refreshed content and information and a new, user friendly Events calendar for
girl program, adult learning, special events and more.

I Can't Wait for My Next Girl Scout Adventure!

Troop #20962 had an awesome time participating in the Disney YES physics program. The  girls had a great Cookie Season and were able to use their cookie sale program proceeds towards this special STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) program.


 




 

Cadette Troop #11031 was able to travel to Washington D.C. and explore its history and bond even more closely as a troop thanks to their successful Cookie and Fall Product Sales. They used their proceeds from both programs to fund their trip. Most of the girls had never been there before.
