Great Give Palm Beach and Martin Counties is a 24-hour online giving event led by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach County, United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County. It is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in a single day. This community-wide event celebrates the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to strengthen our community by raising critical funds for local nonprofits.

Once again, GSSEF will participate in this extraordinary day of giving. Every local gift will be multiplied with additional dollars from a bonus pool raised by the Community Foundation.

The Law Firm of Kelley Kronenberg and Kelley Kronenberg Cares (KKC)  Cookies for the Military Drive
Throughout the months of January and February, GSSEF were happy to partner with the law firm of Kelley Kronenberg in a Cookies for the Military drive. Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse full-service business law firm, organized a firm-wide Girl Scout Cookies collection for military troops as part of its ongoing Kelley Kronenberg Cares (KKC) program. All of the firm's Florida offices participated to collect boxes of Girl Scout cookies to be sent to military personnel. The offices that participated were in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Lakes, Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Panama City. Together, the firm's nine Florida offices collected 330 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, one of the most requested items by our service men and women. A huge thank you to the law firm of Kelley Kronenberg for their dedication to our military personnel and for being such a great partner to GSSEF!

This Year's Cookie Sale Results Truly Worth Sharing! We Did It!
Thanks to our awesome Girl Scouts, their supportive parents and our fantastic volunteers, GSSEF
experienced the best to date Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program in the history of our Council.

We reached the goal set of 1.5 MILLION boxes of cookies sold.

On Saturday, March 7th, we celebrated this with our dedicated Cookie Sale SUPSM's (Service Unit Product Sales Managers).  We shared lots of best practices, recognitions and preliminary sales numbers. You'll hear all about this from your SUPSM's at your next Service Unit Meeting.

GSSEF has begun the process of reconciling the sale and ordering girl rewards. We will share final numbers soon and rewards will be ready for distribution at the end of March and the first part of April.

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale is the largest girl-led financial literacy program in the country. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS! And it's about our passion to improve the lives of girls and to teach them those essential life skills that will last a lifetime. The more you get inside a girl's inspiring world, the more you are inspired by her. Volunteers like you cultivate what's inside each girl.

As we close this year's cookie sale we wanted to take a moment and thank the volunteers and parents that helped make this year's sale a success for every Girl Scout in our Council.
Look for additional information next month on all the success stories...by a girl and her troop.

Thank You!

This year's second and third place cookie sellers were Saya G. from Troop #10708 with 3,318 and Kalliopi K. from Troop # 20254 with 3,202 boxes. Barbara Ann Turner 'Service from the Heart' Scholarship Application Due April 1st

GSSEF is honored to annually award the "Service From the Heart" Scholarship in memory of Barbara Ann Turner, a dedicated volunteer. Barbara had many interests in her life, but nothing was as dear to her as Girl Scouts. She served as a leader, council trainer, service unit manager and women's history committee member. She shared her enthusiasm and commitment to the Girl Scout volunteer spirit in the many service projects she organized. Her wish was that an ongoing scholarship be established to recognize exceptional community service. This dream was realized when the first scholarship was awarded in 2008 to one Girl Scout in the amount of $500.00.

GSSEF is thankful for the generosity of ongoing donations, allowing the scholarship to be increased to $1000.00. In this spirit, the "Service From the Heart" Scholarship will continue to be awarded annually to a high school age Girl Scout, who is currently registered in this council, who has given exceptional service in her community.  Last year, Raquel D. was the recipient of the scholarship.

For more information please read the requirements here. The deadline for applications is April 1, annually. Scholarship presentations will be made in May, annually.

We'd Love to Give You a Shout Out
Do you have photos from your troop or service unit activities that you would like to share? We'd love to give you a shout out. To submit them, complete this short form here.

Gemini Service Unit's Cadette and Senior Troop #40410 had a great time exploring and learning about the performing arts world while spending the day at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. The girls enjoyed a tour of the complex, including a backstage area and attended the matinee performance of Phantom of the Opera. They can't wait to go back and have their next exciting Girl Scout adventure! How awesome!

Troop #20989 had lots of fun while working on their Household Elf badge. They made cleaning products with natural ingredients. The girls were able to 'test' their natural cleaning products and take the products home in spray bottles to clean their rooms too! Way to go girls!

Look how Troop #20097 celebrates a successful Cookie Season! You might say they were having a wild time at Jungle Island getting up close with the animals! Way to go girls.
