Attention Troop Leader:  Toffee-tastic pre-orders due September 27 for 2016 Cookie Sale
On September 2, a survey went out to all Troop Leaders (01) registered for the 2015-2016 year about making a pre-order for Toffee-tastic cookies for the 2016 cookie sale. Little Brownie Baker requires that the Council submit a firm, non-returnable order for the gluten free cookies. This survey gives troops the opportunity to lock in their order for up to 5 cases of these delicious cookies. Troops who do not place a firm order will not be able to get Toffee-tastic as part of their initial order and will need to order from a very limited supply once the sale begins. All troops are asked to complete the survey-even if you are not ordering any of the Toffee-tastic. If you are the registered Troop Leader (position 01) for your troop and did not receive the survey, please check your Junk e-mail before e-mailing Lisa Johnson at ljohnson@gssef.org. If there is more than one registered Troop Leader, the survey went to only one-so please also check with your co-Leaders. For more info, click here.

Membership Database Updates
A new Girl Scout year is about to start and we want to be sure we can reach you to share exciting program updates and membership information.

Recent updates to our membership database, e-Council, now require that each record have a birth date, phone number and email address. Now is a great time for Troop Leaders to review the troop roster of registered girls and adults and to confirm all contact information including address, zip code, email, phone, birth date and school information.

Troop Leaders may update the records of the girls and adults registered into their troop by logging into the GSSEF membership database, e-Council, at www4.e-council.net and entering their email ID and password.

Need some help? No problem, we can make the updates for you. To request an update to a membership record, please contact Mileneda Joseph, council registrar, at mjoseph@gssef.org.

The GSSEF Fall Product Sale Program is intended to reach family, friends, teachers and neighbors. It's an awesome way for troops to earn money for their programs and activities throughout the year and girls can earn rewards. The Council's Fall Product Sale Program helps girls develop five key leadership skills: goal-setting, decision making, people skills, money management and business ethics.

Why participate?
  • Troops earn early start-up funds
  • Girls earn individual recognitions
  • The funds help our council sustain and expand our programs for girls and volunteers
  • Online option makes it so easy for girls to sell
How much can a troop earn?
  • $1 for every Nut/Candy item sold
  • $5 for every "Enjoy the City" coupon book sold
  • 12% of the Magazine Subscription sale price
  • $2 per completed Address Book
Example: If a troop of ten girls participate and each girl sold:
  • 5 Magazine Subscriptions
  • 24 Nut/Candy Items
  • 2 "Enjoy the City" Coupon Books
The troop of ten girls would receive $500 in proceeds.

Bonus: Troops participating in the 2015 Fall Product Sale Program will receive $.04 more for EVERY box of cookies sold during the 2016 Cookie Sale Program.

I Can't Wait for My Next Girl Scout Adventure!

Girls from Troop #20646 enjoyed meeting and spending time with a visiting Girl Guide Unit from Kent, England. The girls learned that Girl Guiding is the leading organization for girls and young women in the United Kingdom. Together they participated in International Friendship Day and a community service project at an ice cream social at the Quantum House in West Palm Beach.

Because of the great work of our Girl Scout troops during the cookie sale, our military troops and their families get to enjoy Girl Scout cookies thanks to our partnership with Operation Homefront.
