The Great Give 2015 is coming on

May 5-6

GSSEF is participating in the Great Give Palm Beach  & Martin Counties, a 24-hour online giving event led by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County. Great Give 2015 is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in the allotted time as part of a nationwide program called Give Local America.

We need your help to reach as many people as we can in order to maximize the amount of donations we can receive. Your donation, a minimum of $10, will go a long way in helping us to continue to provide great programs for girls. There is no limit to the amount of gifts that can be made! Plus, gifts made that day will receive a portion of bonus funds - making your dollar go even further than it would on any other day.

Please bookmark this direct link to our Great Give donation page: https://www.greatgiveflorida.org/#npo/girl-scouts-of-southeast-florida.

Please "like" us on Facebook and "share" our Great Give posts, "follow" us on Twitter, and "retweet" our Great Give tweets, and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to do the same.

If you have any questions or would like more information about how we can increase GSSEF's impact during the Great Give, please contact PJ Layng at 561 632-8122 or pjlayng@gssef.org.

Emerald Awards Celebration raises over $140,000
GSSEF danced the night away with 240 Emerald Awards guests after celebrating and recognizing six amazing Palm Beach County women on Saturday, March 14. Guests and honorees enjoyed the ocean view at The Beach Club as they were introduced to five Palm Beach County women who represented leadership in their field and who exemplified the National Initiatives of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

In addition, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida honored Kathryn Vecellio with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Philanthropy. This special award recognized Mrs. Vecellio's extensive philanthropic efforts throughout our community. In addition, it was announced at the event that she would be starting a collegiate scholarship fund to support Girl Scouts who have earned their Gold Award and who have high academic achievements.

The event raised over $140,000 for GSSEF. Thank you to everyone involved for making this event such a wonderful success!
