One-day Only! Give a Box, Get a Box of Girl Scout Cookies 
Need an idea for Friday night dinner? Check this out.
GSSEF has teamed up with Duffy's Sports Grill for the Give a Box, Get a Box campaign. This Friday only, February 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Duffy's locations in South Florida, anyone that donates a box of Girl Scout Cookies to the Cookies for the Military program will receive a FREE box of Girl Scout Cookies of their choice while supplies last. Last year, close to 3,200 boxes of cookies were donated in just four hours! Let's see what we can do this year!    

If you are unable to make it to a Duffy's location that evening, you still have an opportunity for free Girl Scout Cookies. Anyone that donates to the Cookies for the Military program online at www.cookiesforthemilitary.org this Friday, February 6 will be entered into a chance to win FREE Girl Scout Cookies for a year!  For additional information, click here.

Cookies and Cheesecake, Grimaldi's and Girl Scouts 
A Delicious and Beneficial Combination  
Attention Girl Scout Cookie lovers! Here's another way you can enjoy your favorite cookies. During the month of February, Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Palm Beach Gardens will again offer two varieties of Girl Scout Cookie flavored cheesecakes - the Thin Mint Cheesecake and the Samoa Cheesecake.

The Thin Mint Cheesecake is a chocolate mint cheesecake with pieces of Thin Mint cookie mixed in, a Thin Mint crust and topped with whipped cream. The Samoa Cheesecake is a caramel cheesecake topped with caramel glaze and toasted coconut, on top of a Samoa cookie crust and finished with a chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Yummy!

These special cheesecakes will be available for $5 a slice while supplies last. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida.

Get Your Emerald Awards Tickets Now

Registration is open for the Emerald Awards Celebration  at The Beach Club on Saturday, March 14. The event's presenting sponsor is Diamante Atelier in partnership with H. Seigel Fine Auctions. We will honor Palm Beach County women who represent the national initiatives of Girl Scouts and serve as role models for today's girls. 


Please join us as we honor these deserving women. The evening's festivities include a live and silent auction, a chance drawing, dinner and dancing! Purchase your event tickets and chance drawing tickets now by clicking here.

4th Annual Thin Mint Sprint 
Run, jog or walk - just don't miss out on all the fun of participating in our annual Thin Mint Sprint. Registration is underway. This family-friendly event will take place on Sunday, April 12 at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach. The 5K portion of the morning is a chip-timed race on a certified course, and the 100-yard dash is open to children eight and under.

The first 300 to register will be receive a T-shirt, and a box of Thin Mints will be given to ALL finishers! Registered Girl Scouts will receive a participation patch.

The race is shaping up to be the best one yet with plenty of fun activities for all. There will be face painting, balloon twisting, a photo booth, a light breakfast and even massages!

10 Days of Giveaways Ends February 10
We're adding even more mania as we celebrate 10 years of Mall Madness! Registrants that completed their registration transactions for Mall Madness by January 27 were entered into our 10 Days of Giveaways drawing for their chance to win.
 
The Giveaways began February 1 and will end February 10. One lucky girl or troop will be randomly selected from registered participants to win one of our 10 Days of Giveaways prizes. Keep checking Facebook every day at 10 a.m. to see if you're the winner. On day 10, your chances are tripled - we're giving away THREE prizes!   
 
    
Calling All Adult Volunteers and Older Girls! 
Do you have a passion for GSSEF Summer Camp? Have you ever wanted to be part of making camp memories for your Girl Scouts?

Now is your time to shine! GSSEF is seeking dedicated adult volunteers and older girls to work alongside our Camp Director to create, plan and facilitate Summer Camp programs. Camp sessions will be held on weekends throughout the months of June through August. We're looking for volunteers to assist with day programs as well as overnight weekend camp.

The World Thinking Day badge is now available for purchase at both retail stores. The theme for World Thinking Day 2015 is girls worldwide say "We can create peace through partnerships."

Global Action Badge

Also, don't forget about your Global Action Award badge. This is an exciting and enriching way for Girl Scout Daisies to Ambassadors to participate in realizing the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which aim to reduce extreme poverty and impact major world concerns. Badge is only $1.25.  

 
The Global Action and World Thinking Day badge are now an Official Award and therefore it may be worn on the front of the Official Uniform sash or vest and placed where other earned badges are worn.

Take a moment and think about all the awesome volunteers that you know. Now is the time to honor them for their hard work and dedication.

We all know them - Leaders who go above and beyond - Parents who rock as the troop Product Sale Manager  -  Volunteers who plan amazing programs and workshops - A community partner that is always there for you and your girls . Honor them now.

 

The time frame for Adult Recognition Award nomination term is for services performed January 1 - December 31, 2014. Nominations can be made both online and on paper until March 15.
