Camp-Tastic! is our second annual outdoor program that showcases all-things-Girl Scouting! Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida's 2013 Fall Product Sale is underway. It is intended to reach family, friends, teachers and neighbors and will help troops earn money for programs and activities throughout the year. Girls can also earn individual rewards. The Council's Fall Product Sale Program helps girls develop five key leadership skills: goal-setting, decision making, people skills, money management, and business ethics.

The easiest thing to do is sell magazines, and that can be done online from home. There's no need to collect money, no door-to-door order taking-it's EASY.  Upcoming Emerald Awards Celebration - a Sparkling Tribute to Outstanding Women
With the mome  ntum of the successful 2013 Forever Green event, more than a dozen past and new committee members recently gathered at Cabo Flats Cantina for the kick-off of next year's signature event, the inaugural Girl Scouts Emerald Awards Celebration.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Croquet Center in West Palm Beach. The awards will recognize five Palm Beach County women who exemplify the five Girl Scout national initiatives in the areas of S.T.E.M., Financial Literacy, Healthy Living, Environmental Leadership and Global Citizenship.

GSSEF Grows...Again!
For the 2nd consecutive year, GSSEF has served more girls than the previous year. A total of 15,841 girls were registered in the 2012-13 membership year. Thank you to all the volunteers, parents and staff who helped provide programs to our girls throughout the year.
New Girl Scout Year Starts October 1
The 2013-14 Girl Scout year officially began on Tuesday, October 1. And, there are still lots of opportunities to join the movement. Girls and adults can register year-round by visiting www.gssef.org and clicking the big pink JOIN NOW button. Joining the national organization, GSUSA, opens the door to all the programs and activities offered to girls throughout the six-county GSSEF jurisdiction. Program participation is not dependent on troop placement, so while girls await a troop or group placement, they can participate in the many fun and exciting programs listed on our Program Calendar.
