foodFeeding Florida Together Food Drive food bank daisies

The first weekend of our Feeding Florida Together Food Drive was a great success. Our partners at the Palm Beach County Food Bank had the chance to meet and educate a group of Daisies last Saturday on the food challenges that residents in our community face each day. The girls got to drop off the items they collected, were able to help out in the warehouse by sorting food and made a fun craft project out of empty cans.

There is still plenty of time to participate -- Brownies on Saturday, April 13th, Juniors and Cadettes on Saturday, April 20th and Seniors and Ambassadors on Saturday, April 27th. Tours are offered on Sundays beginning at 10:00 a.m. too!

diaperDiaper Drop

Join United Way of Palm Beach County for a community-wide diaper drive that will kick off on Mother's Day, Sunday May 12, 2013. The Diaper Drop is a terrific community service project for troops of all grade-levels. It will provide local at-risk mothers with essential "baby basic" items to help ensure a healthy start for their newborns - an important indicator for school readiness and success! Click on this form to give a donation.  To volunteer on the Day of Action, please contact Donna Pulda at DonnaPulda@UnitedWayPBC.org.

legacyWhat's Your Legacy?

Perhaps you don't think you are the type of individual who would leave a legacy. But the truth is, anyone can do it and every effort to support future generations helps. Leaving a legacy can be as easy as naming the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida as the beneficiary of a portion of your retirement plan assets or including a couple of sentences in your will or trust. Contact PJ Layng, Vice President of Development, at 561-427-0181 or pjlayng@gssef.org with any questions you have or to discuss a gift to GSSEF in your will or other estate plans.
