Happenings at the Bookstore and Around Town                  December 2013
Dear Friends

The store is bursting with good books, quirky stocking stuffers, chocolates and mulling spices!

Come in and ask us about our books - it's our favorite time of year when we get to recommend the hot new releases, the favorite reads of the year, and classics you haven't read yet!

We'll help you with your list, whether it's a thriller for Aunt Mabel, an epic story for Uncle Lou, dancing princesses, roaring dinosaurs, trips to exotic lands, cookbooks to drool over or a story to curl up with.

It's the time of year where BEST OF lists abound.
Check out our 2013 Holiday Catalog for suggestions.
Another favorite of our readers is our IndieNext List, monthly recommendations from independent booksellers around the country.  Of course, we'd love to recommend those overlooked gems, those off-the-beaten path books that are just right for you and yours! And for the really, really hard-to-figure-out readers, our watchung booksellers Gift Cards are the perfect gift.

Free gift wrapping, FREE LOCAL DELIVERY (just ask), order online, call us or drop by - we're here to help you.  And of course, free Werthers (you're welcome).

Looking forward to seeing you soon,  Margot, Carolyn, Marina, Nicole, Marisela, Liane and Jeanne

This is our 3rd Year participating in World Book Night.  For those of you who haven't joined in before, it's an incredible opportunity to give out FREE BOOKS to reluctant or light readers -- to share your love of reading with others!

We encourage you to sign up early, there are more young adult books this time, but they are going fast.

Check out the World Book Night site, browse through the book selections, make your choice, pick up your books here (we'll have a pick-up party) and go forth into the world on April 23rd (Shakespeare's birthday) and have a great time!

Over the last two years, our Givers shared books with Tony's Kitchen, patrons at Egans & Sons, the kids gathering at Watchung Plaza, the town's Municipal Services, women's shelters, parents' groups at their schools, commuters on the train and more.  The creativity of our readers was wonderful!  Join in the fun and spread the love of reading!
