July 26th, Loretta O'DriscollWe are collecting gently used and new Picture Books for the Head Start program serving Montclair, Bloomfield, West Orange and Orange now through Sunday, July 7th. Keller Williams NJ Metro Group is organizing the drive and collecting books at their office (15 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair) and along the Montclair 4th of July Parade route. You may also drop off books here at the bookstore and we will deliver them on Sunday. If you would like to purchase new books to donate, we are offering a 20% discount to support the MCDC.

Sandwich Generation Katie Hafner Thursday, July 18, 7-8pm  The complex, deeply binding relationship between mothers and daughters is brought vividly to life in Katie Hafner's remarkable memoir, an exploration of the year she and her mother, Helen, spent working through, and triumphing over, a lifetime of unresolved emotions.
Yvette Neisser Moreno, a native of Montclair, won the Gival Press Poetry Award for her first book of poetry, Grip, which also received an honorable mention in the New England Book Festival.
