Join us Thursday. Award-winning journalist Jonathan Schuppe, talks about his new book,
"A man with no legs teaches the forgotten children of Newark how to run for glory. Amazing, and all true. Jon Schuppe has written an extraordinary book of the human spirit." Ron Suskind writes. It promises to be a special evening.
Friday Luncheon at Green Brook Country Club, 11:30am. Jami Attenberg discusses her fascinating novel, The Middlesteins. It is an epic family story told with sly humor and huge compassion. If you haven't made a reservation yet, contact Book Club Founder, Marlene Cohen.

Saturday, June 8, 2-3pm  Jonathan Alter uses his unmatched access and deep knowledge of politics and history to produce the first full account of an America at the crossroads, deepening our understanding of Obama's presidency, the 2012 election stakes, and the future of his second term. Sunday, June 9, 4-5pm Get a jump on Father's Day. Three local poets will read heartfelt poems about their fathers, a relationship that is much like mothers and daughters - too often fraught with equal measures of love and conflict. Open mic, during which all are invited to read a poem about fathers, original or otherwise. The featured poets are Martin Golan, Jim Gwyn, and Frank Niccoletti, all of whom have been widely published in magazines and journals. Alan Furst Tuesday, June 11, 7-8pm An evening with the master of the historical spy novel. Alan Furst discusses his latest novel. Foreign assassins, a Russian actress turned spy, a Hollywood star - and of course, the city of Paris.
Poet/publisher/performance artist David Messineo with the New Jersey debut of his eighth published poetry collection, Historiopticon. David will read the poems inspired by New Jersey throughout history.
Open mic will follow the reading.
