Dear Friends Thank you all for sharing your year with us. We have many wonderful memories of discovering and talking with you about books. Thank you for letting us know what you loved best, which books sparked the most interesting book group discussions and which ones lit the fire your little ones imagination! It's a New Year at the bookstore - and we have a new bundle of joy to share with you -- Nicole and Mary welcomed their daughter Charlotte into our world on Friday, December 28th. We are so excited! Pitter patter of little feet at the bookstore and a new reviewer of board books!
What did we all read this year? Our watchung bestsellers for 2012 are listed below. We have to say, we love this list - top 10s include our local favorites, national bestsellers and some quirky titles that only we have on the top 10! Some of our hot books from the holiday season didn't make the cut (mostly due to late publication dates) but are hugely important: Far From the Tree by Andrew Solomon, Jon Meacham's Thomas Jefferson, Annie Lamott's Help Thanks Wow, and The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis.
TICKETS for Montclair's 4th Annual Fundraising Concert for Haiti are on sale now. Last year it was sold out - so don't delay. Featuring The James Maddock Band, Earthman Experience with Jephte Guillaum and Jazz House Kids.
Yes, we have ebooks, and Yes, we have ereaders!
And yes, you still support us with ebook purchases through our website.
Enjoy, Margot, Carolyn, Marina, Nicole, Marisela, Liane and Molly |

For those of you joining us this year, you choose from a list of 32 books. You will be supplied with 30 copies to give out on April 23rd (Shakespeare's birthday) at a site of your choosing. The stories from last year were wonderful! People handed out books at the train station, homeless shelter, senior centers, the supermarket and a local tavern. Interested? Sign up. It's all about sharing stories. |
