Where We Will Be
Red Shirt Head SHot

Greetings!

Once again I had a wonderful educational experience at my organizing conference. And it was so great to see all my organizing friends from all over the globe! The classes were amazing: Helping Clients Get Unstuck, Digital Filing Systems, Unmasking the Potential in Yourself, and Motivation were some of my favorite topics.

The expo products were not as exciting as they have been in the past, however, I did walk away with a few new favorites:

The PackAways Reusable Plastic StoPackAways Boxrage Box. Made of strong corrugated plastic, they protect contents from water and humidity. They are super easy to set up (no tape required) and can collapse flat when not in use. The neatest thing is that that they have two label areas where you can write and erase, so you can change descriptions when you change contents. The box comes in three styles and four colors: white, blue, pink, and green. For more information and to order, see their website www.packaways.com.

Rubbermaid All Access Bins
Next, Rubbermaid's All Access Organizer provides a great way to store, stack, and access bins. They are extremely handy since the clear fold-down door on the front allows you to see contents and retrieve what you want without having to unstack boxes. You can view more pictures at www.rubbermaid.com.

I hope you can put these products into use! If you do, please let me know what you think by emailing info@annaorganizesu.com. And please don't miss the chance to meet with me and get some complimentary organizing advice at the Main Line Lifestyle Speaker Series. I'd love to see you there! Details below.

Reducing Junk Mail and Catalog Overload

stacks of papers
I have talked about PaperKarma before, an app available for Android and Apple devices. Scan the return address and they get you removed from the mailing list. I have been using it and I now only have about 20 pieces every couple of weeks left to manage! There are a few caveats to this, but it is a huge help.

I have also discovered Catalog Spree which aggregates catalogs online, so that you can eliminate the paper copies. You choose your favorite catalogs; they send you an email when a new catalog comes out; then you can shop the catalog. It is a very nice website, easy to navigate.

The final favorite is Catalog Choice MailStop Shield. This one removes you from mailing lists, which prevents your information from being sold!

Digital Data Tips

FotoBridge
Turn your prints into pixels and share them with family! My new find: FotoBridge, a digital photo scanning service located in Berlin, NJ. FotoBridge makes it easy to convert your prints, slides, negatives, film, and videos into a digital format. They offer pricing packages (for example: up to 250 prints for approximately $50) and provide safeguards to protect your material.

One of the trends is data services that help you manage ALL of your personal data, from pet profiles to wallet contents in digital format as well as paper. Check out LifeinCase, CBData Personal Recordkeeping Software, and SafelyFiled. I really liked the LifeinCase, however I feel that to be really safe you need to also copy or scan your documents so that they are available to you anywhere.
