KOL HA'KAVOD KUDOS KORNER
|
The halls of Talmud Torah have been transformed to the times of Shushan in anticipation of Purim, thanks to the creative talents of Kylie Goldstein, Lynn Sommer and Advah Soudack. We are also grateful to Dina Sacks for brightening our halls with colourful masks. Many parents have been working non-stop to help hang decor. Todah Rabah!
Grade 3 students would also like to thank VTT parent, Dr. Dan Ezekiel, for his riveting presentation on the Arctic. He spoke about indigenous people, animals, adaptations, and the food chain. Students loved the lecture!

SOCIAL MEDIA, CONNECTED CHILDREN: PARENTING THE MOBILE DEVICE CHILD
VTT presents an evening with social media guru, Jesse Miller. Join us on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. RSVP to info@talmudtorah.com
An interactive and visual presentation helps parents understand where the social media and tech concerns are in our connected community. This is a must-see presentation for parents who would like to proactively examine the challenges of social media, reveal the realities behind the concerns around social media, and prompt dialogue that fits your home values. This presentation will provide parents with the tools needed to better equip themselves for parenting in the social media generation, extend the dialogue to reflect technology influences in your home, and address the current trends in social media use within British Columbia.

STRATHCONA RAFFLE SETS NEW RECORD
Thank you to all VTT students that sold raffle tickets in support of the grade seven Strathcona trip. This year, for the first time ever, there was tie for the top grade seven ticket seller. Ethan Doctor and Max Laskin combined to sell over $3,000 in raffle tickets, contributing to a total raised for Strathcona of $16,810! And, congratulations to Tamar Kotik from 2A who was the top ticket seller in grades 1-6. Stewart Aronson in Grade 5 was the lucky winner of the iPad raffle draw.
Thank you to the Strathcona co-chairs, Andy Beron and Iris Sharir, who helped to organize the raffle and source all of the prizing. Without their contribution the raffle would not have been possible. Lastly, we would like to thank all the grade seven parents and community members that donated the many prizes for the raffle.

CELEBRATING 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL
To celebrate 100 days of school, our Kindergarten students show off their failing eyesight and creaking bones. It's amazing how quickly time deteriorates once healthy bodies.
