ANNUAL GRADE 2 SOCK, TOOTHBRUSH & TOOTHPASTE DRIVE

sock drive

It is a Grade 2 annual tradition to collect NEW socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste to help those less fortunate than us. The collection will be given to Jewish Women International and the Jewish Food Bank to be distributed through these organizations.

The drive runs from now until Monday, February 1st.

Last year 300 NEW PAIRS of socks were collected. Help second graders exceed this goal this year!

Special thanks to VTT parent and dentist, Dr. Sherri Wise, for getting us started with a substantial donation of dental hygiene products.

earthquakes
If there's an earthquake, who you gonna call? Grade 4!
As part of their science studies, Ms. Morrell's students are learning about earthquakes: how they occur, how to respond, and even what to pack in an earthquake kit, etc. In the photos above, they constructed replicas of the earth using plasticine and identified all the earth's layers. Are you prepared for the big one?
