Playground Equipment Installed
|
|
Dear VTT Families,
You may have noticed that the new playground equipment has been installed. The lunar blast has proved most popular and all of our students are loving climbing and sliding down the Talmud Torah tower.
Two new basketball hoops have also been added to the playground, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.
Finally, the soccer nets have now been installed on the upper level playspace above the parkade.
All these improvements allow all our students ample opportunity for fresh air, fun and physical exercise during recess and lunch breaks.
PARKADE UPDATE
As we near the end of Term I, we wanted to inform our community that continued improvements will be made to the parkade over winter break. Visible signage will be added, mirrors will be affixed at various blind spots, speed bumps will slow speeding vehicles, and a few parking stalls will be converted from two to one space to allow larger cars more room to park. Additionally, the parkade walls and posts will soon be colour-coded to easily identify which stalls are allocated for VTT families and staff.
SAFETY & SECURITY UPDATE
In the new year, Royston Colbourne from CKR Global Security, will make a presentation to our parents regarding safety and security at VTT as we transition to our new campus. Royston has been consulting for the school and the shul for several years and has a firm grasp of our community needs and concerns.
The presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. We hope many of you plan to attend.
Shabbat Shalom, Cathy Lowenstein, M.Ed.
