TALMUD TORAH CELEBRATES RAC WEEK

RAC 14

This year our faculty and students chose to mark Random Acts of Chesed Week in ways that could make an immediate, tangible impact on the school community. From literacy-based activities highlighting our Yachad monthly theme of "kindness" to assuming jobs throughout the school to support and assist our peers, our teachers and the custodial team, students expended energy and effort to recognize and appreciate the value of kindness and giving. Thank you to our teacher leaders for spearheading this initiative and to all our faculty for taking time out of their busy days to ensure our students reflected and acted in support of the week's theme. A special thank you to King David High School for hosting our seventh graders at their closing ceremonies and for the visit from Grade 11 students who spent a half a day helping in our Kindergarten.

SCHOOL NEWS
RACademy
Saturday night's RACademy awards began with a moving Havdallah ceremony led by Rabbi Infeld and continued with the screening of ten entertaining and creative videos, edited by our seventh grade students to reflect their RAC Race experience of performing random acts of chesed (kindness) throughout Greater Vancouver.

As a first time teacher at VTT, I was moved by this compassionate, unstoppable group of students, not only because their passion, but also because I recognized that their meaningful work is a product of the high quality of the education provided by VTT's dedicated staff over the years. This reinforces once again the profound impact of Jewish education on our children and our community. The seeds of fruits we harvest now are the result of the values and love of the hard working faculty and parents of VTT. Yishar Koach!
