If you are in the Punta Gorda- Port Charlotte area don't forget that there are 2 Christmas boat parades to help celebrate the season! On Sunday, December 16, the Punta Gorda Chamber Boat Parade will be cruising the Harbor-for more information go here.  In addition, on December 22 , there is the Punta Gorda "Rim Canal" parade and you can find out more about that on their site.  These events will really put you in a festive spirit with lots of lights reflecting in the canals. If you  like driving around to look at Christmas lights, you might also go take a look at all the spectacular Christmas lights in the canal basin behind Lacosta Island and Crooked Island in Punta Gorda Isles.
