LEMON-AID DAY FOR ANIMALS
Saturday, August 17th
Don't miss 'LemonAid Day for Animals', our second annual summer outreach event and fundraiser, when kids and their families pitch in to support the Humane Society of Louisiana. Funds raised will be used to pay for veterinary bills for abused, neglected and homeless animals. Please help if you can to make a difference for animals in need and to set a great example for tomorrow's animal defenders.
Where? You can set a lemonade stand up anywhere you have permission - in your front yard, in front of a store, or at a community event. When? Most events will be held on LemonAid day on August 17th, but if Sunday or another day is more convenient, that's fine too. We'll email or send you a packet with ideas and some general guidelines, along with an official participation poster.
'LemonAid Day for Animals' was inspired by a young animal advocate named Jence, who decided to make a difference by operating a lemonade stand to benefit her local humane society. In addition to supporting LemonAid Day, Jence continues her activism with her new nonprofit group 'Little Citizens, Big Change'. Check out some of their work and some media coverage of last year's LemonAid Day for Animals:

Don't have kids? Invite friends who do. Businesses can host their own LemonAid day fundraisers, too.
Please contact us at info@humanela.org to participate, and we'll send you more details.
