Dear Travelers:

We are not your average woman's travel company. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much you will save traveling with us if you compare our trips with comparable leading brands. Our trips are each distinctively one of a kind. We diligently curate all Serendipity Traveler's itineraries. We don't purchase packaged tours for you and then relabel them under a woman's travel company name. From the ground up, I am researching, talking and resourcing all the finest ingredients for each Serendipity Traveler small group tour. We provide women a travel opportunity that is unquestionably thoughtfully planned for your comfort. We invite you to join other women who appreciate the difference in traveling well.

Turkey's Hospitality

I am continuously adding to my collection of travel books and this weekend, at our library book sale, found yet another guide on Turkey. I think the Turkish are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Donald Carroll, the author of this book I picked up for $1.00 who is a writer from Britain, agrees as he writes in his introduction..I had never come across a friendlier more hospitable people and I still haven't. As Westerners, we are suspicious of the friendliness on the street and in the restaurants; yet it is sincere. As Carroll says, Turks value friendship. Turkey was brimming with visitors from all over the world and it is easy to see why Istanbul is one of the world's best loved cities. Turkey is especially hospitable. Whether offering you tea or wanting to know where you travel from, the Turksare engaging and warm with visitors. While the NY Times headlines talked of ISIS, we enjoyed the genuine hospitality, beauty and history that is Turkey. At no time did any of us ever feel unsafe. We met people traveling from Australia, Britain, France, Bulgaria, Sweden and America. The Mediterranean cuisine is delightful and the varied offerings provide delicious meals. Can you tell I am trying to encourage you to join me next year in this wonderland and melting pot? East dances with West along the Silk Road where Ottomans ruled and Palaces, Temples and Cities have so many stories to share. The treasures of a trip to Turkey are many. My husband and I plan to return to Turkey this spring and Serendipity Traveler will return to Turkey in Autumn when the blue skies fill the landscapes

and our expert guide will once more share the joys of traveling in Turkey.

Here is an excerpt from one of our travelers on our recent trip to Turkey

"My friends are envious of my trip to Turkey.   What a magical adventure!   It's hard to name one highlight....the Turkish bath in Istanbul...Hagia Sophia...the fairy chimneys in Cappadocia.... hiking the Rose Valley....the Dervishes....the market in Sirince....Ephesus....Apollo's Temple...our knowledgeable Turkish guide, Ali....the companionship of the other travelers....and more. Best of all Peggy ensures our utmost comfort. Who can forget the Argos Hotel or the charming Gullu Knoaklari?   Words cannot adequately capture the joy this journey brought to me.   Traveling with Peggy is like traveling with a very knowledgeable friend."

Savannah & Charleston

America has many historical and lovely cities and some that reach the lists of world class favorites. Both Charleston and Savannah are well loved and recognized for the charms and history they offer. Boston is one of my faves as well. And, of course, we can't leave San Francisco out of the mix....this trip will focus on two cities exuding Southern Charm. I am looking forward to our spring time visit to Charleston and Savannah; both on the list of American favorites.

English Gardens

Only one place remains on our annual English Gardens and Chelsea Flower Show trip and I suggest, if you are wanting to come on this trip, you reserve today so as not to be disappointed. There is nothing quite like English Gardens in May when wisteria is blooming, roses are beginning and the gardens are brimming with beauty. The Chelsea Flower Show never disappoints and you can spend as much time there as you wish with your full day ticket. Tea at The Ritz, West End Theatre, The beloved garden of Vita Sackville-West in Kent and other notable gardens, Georgian Bath and the glorious fairytale Cotswolds all make this trip memorable.

La Dolce Vita

Next Autumn we will be traveling again to Italy. The details are almost complete and I will be posting this trip very soon. In the meanwhile, begin to dream of meandering in Tuscany, exploring Rome and seeing the one of a kind city that is Venice. We are also going to look for George in Bellagio on stunning Lake Como.   I will send a separate email with itinerary details on La Dolce Vita.
