Dear Ladies:

Thank you for subscribing to our monthly newsletter and for your incoming reservations. We make it simple for you to travel solo without a best friend, your sister or a husband. Who travels with us? Married women whose husbands may not wish to travel as much as we do, single women who don't like to be on a tour with all couples or traveling alone, divorced women rediscovering their world, widowed women reinventing life chapters and enjoying adventures. Some may be cancer survivors celebrating well being. You may be noting special birthdays or significant milestones. Some of you are taking your first trip abroad while others are seasoned travelers. Wherever you are on your life's journey, we welcome you to join us, make new friends, and share memorable traveling experiences with a small group of active women living their dreams.

English Gardens

Always a favorite, England is glorious in May and our itinerary offers you the finest opportunity to immerse yourself in British life.  Imagine wandering the gardens of Vita Sackville-West at Sissinghurst, one of the worlds most loved gardens, or meandering amidst the world class Chelsea Flower Show exhibits in London.  Plan to sipp a Pimms with the Brits and of course enjoy Afternoon Tea at The Ritz which is an ongoing tradition.  Stroll London's beloved Kew Gardens, historical Georgian Bath, the pastoral Kent Countryside and sample a glimpse of The Cotswolds.  We weave together a diverse landscape to provide you with a quintessential British experience.  We have one space remaining due to a last minute change for one of our travelers.  Do not wait if you have been wanting to join us.  We expect to fill this opening shortly.

The Culinary Ingredient

When you travel with us you will sample a variety of culinary options.  Culinary experiences enhance traveling and are the heart of a region.  Where do you think of when someone mentions pasta?  Italy of course!  Or Apple Pie, the good old USA... or Chocolate Fondue, perhaps Switzerland, Dolma's and Figs, perhaps Turkey and so it is that food is integral to experiencing the culture of a country.  Food actually defines the country.  Just think of France.

Some of you already know how much I favour local small places with the freshest of food. Sampling the region's favorites or specialties is another way to learn more about where we are traveling.  Must admit, I have not yet been brave enough to order the Pigeon in London and in Wyoming, after seeing the elk running in the fields, I couldn't order it grilled.  In Turkey, it was fun to sample the dolmas everywhere and see just how many different versions we could try.  Wherever we travel, our choices in dining are pleasant and satisfying and tend to be a highlight of our evenings when traveling together.

Turkey

Ten million visitors arrived in Istanbul in 2013.  Turkey is an exotic historical country where the confluence of culture, history and preservation of important sights continues to impress and leave the traveler wanting to return.  Our upcoming 2014 trip to Turkey is timed perfectly for fall weather after the intense heat of summer.  Turkey is a mosaic that combines ancient and modern unlike anyplace else.  Arrive in Istanbul, one of the world's truly remarkable cities, full of distinctive architecture, bustling markets, Ottoman restaurants, and fascinating neighborhoods straddling two continents.  We will fly to the fairytale landscapes of Cappadocia which is a landscape unlike many others. You will walk the sacred ground of Ephesus and other historic sites as we meander along the Aegean coast ending in Bodrum, one of the world's best ports.  Turkey offers you hospitality that is genuine with people who are friendly and excited to be hosts to visitors.  Join me on this stunning small group tour.

Ireland in Summer

Our curated scenic Ireland journey for you includes the luxury of our own personal full time Irish expert guide/storyteller and driver.  We travel with flexibility and comfort while touring with the best local knowledge to lead us to some hidden gems amidst The Beara and Dingle Peninsulas and The Ring of Kerry.  One hundred thousand welcomes is what you will experience in Ireland.  Known for it's landscapes, pubs, castles, history, cathedrals and whiskey, Ireland doesn't disappoint.  The mix of experiences, from Dublin to the Ring of Kerry and more, enchant travelers along with villages, coastlines, mountains, and roads where the only traffic may be a herd of sheep.  Ireland brings you back to simpler times with friendly folk and artisan ways.  We perch in three distinct areas beginning at The Westbury Hotel in Dublin, continuing on towards a manor house in Kenmare and on to The Burren and villages in this region.  On all our trips, each woman savours a private room without any additional single supplement cost.

Mindfulness by The Sea

Jon Kabat-Zinn re-introduced the word mindfulness to us decades ago.  A pioneer in the field of mind body medicine, we think his work and that of many others is a positive enhancement for women.  When one is in a state of relaxation the brain changes, the body changes and well being is enhanced.  As part of our commitment to Conscious Relaxation, we are planning a weekend of mindfulness by the sea.  Details will be coming soon.  Travel is the best prescription for a women's well being and we look forward to offering our Conscious Relaxation weekend.

A Traveler Writes Me.........

Every evening over dinner, our group relaxed and shared the day's highlights; the friendly islanders, the lush sights and sounds of the jungle, a challenging hike to a majestic falls, a superb massage.... the topics varied over each dinner but were always laughter filled and sprinkled with anecdotes.  And every night before us, the moon rose over the expanse of the ocean as if on cue. Breathtaking.
