Dear Travelers:

Can it be that the first week of 2014 is already behind us?

I appreciate your reservations arriving for the diverse and engaging trips planned for you in 2014 and look forward to your joining us.  Please don't wait to reserve as our small groups are smaller than most and we don't want you to be disappointed.  If your travel style is luxe with value, you will appreciate our style.

Please note that I will be emailing you our regular newsletter monthly followed with a shorter newsletter.  As we grow, there is more women's travel news to tuck into our monthly read.  The second newsletter will focus on details of a specific destination and as always travel tips. Please share our newsletters with friends, colleagues and family who love to travel..

English Gardens and The Chelsea Flower Show

It is time for me to gather reservations for our annual trip to England and the Chelsea Flower Show.  I have secured  our full day tickets for the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show on members only day.  We perch in Knightsbridge where a short walk one direction takes you to Harrods and the other to The Victoria and Albert.  Leaving the city, we land in the idyllic Kent countryside to explore private and public gardens.  Then we cross to the other side of England to discover Georgian Bath, with a taste of the fairytale Cotstwolds.  There is no other Chelsea Flower Show and English Garden Tour offering you the value of our well honed itinerary with visits to some of the best of gardens, choice accommodations, theatre, Tea at The Ritz,  historical walking tours and more. Join us.

10 Million

Ten million visitors arrived in Istanbul in 2013.  Turkey has done a brilliant job of marketing the country in the last few years.  It is an exotic historical country where the confluence of culture, history and preservation of important sights continues to impress and leave the traveler wanting to return.  Our upcoming 2014 trip to Turkey is timed perfectly for fall weather after the intense heat of summer.  Turkey is a mosaic that combines ancient and modern unlike anyplace else.  Arrive in Istanbul, one of the world's truly remarkable cities, full of distinctive architecture, bustling markets, Ottoman restaurants, and fascinating neighborhoods straddling two continents.  We will fly to the fairytale landscapes of Cappadocia which is a landscape unlike many others.  You will walk the ancient ruined city of Ephesus and other historic sites as we meander along the Aegean coast ending in Bodrum, one of the world's best ports.  Turkey offers you hospitality that is genuine with people who are friendly and excited to be hosts to visitors.  There is a refreshing exchange between visitor and local.  Language is still catching up and our local guide is a wonderful conduit for us to discover and experience the riches of this land known as the cradle of civilization.  Reservations for Turkey must be in much earlier than some of our trips as single rooms are less common.  I look forward to sharing Turkey with you this fall.

Flights

My recommendation is to do your flight research on sites such as Kayak, Orbitz, or Airfarewatchdog and then make your reservations directly with the airline you have chosen.  During the recent winter chaos, with thousands of flights canceled last week, it was easier for clients who had booked directly with the airline to negotiate and navigate.  We are happy to guide you regarding flights and airline choices and do encourage you to reserve early for better seat selections and routes.  Last year I waited too long to book an international flight and ended up spending $400.00 more than necessary with Virgin Atlantic. This year I am taking my own advice and reserving early.
