Dear Travelers:

Welcome to the colors, sights, sounds, and tastes of woman's travel. We make it simple for you to travel without a best friend, your sister or a husband. Who travels with us? Married women whose husbands may not wish to travel as much as we do, single women who don't like to be on a tour with all couples or traveling solo, divorced women rediscovering their world, widowed women reinventing life chapters and enjoying adventures. Some may be cancer survivors celebrating our well being. We may be noting special birthdays and significant milestones. Some of you are taking your first trip abroad while others are well seasoned travelers. Wherever you are on your life's journey, we welcome you to join us, make new friends, and share memorable traveling experiences with a small group of active women living their dreams.

Britain's Best

Memories of our May trip to England are fresh.  The English Countryside never ceases to stir the imagination and senses.  This year was the Queens Coronation and with all the events, displays and spirited energy, it was hopping.  The gardens were glorious... and we missed the rain except for one day and that was the day we were on the motorway traveling from Kent to Bath.  When we arrived in Bath, the sun was shining in time to walk to a pub for dinner.  The women travelers were all fun and spirited. A lovely group to travel with.  We visited gardens, pubs, museums, theatre, and more as we sampled a quintessential English tour.  Thanks for making my work easy.  Somehow our website sorts and sifts out the women travelers who join us and, so far, there isn't one woman I wouldn't invite back to travel again.  This group was no exception.  Our 2014 English Garden Tour will be posted in July for reservations

My Favorite Flight Sites

Here are some of the resources that are excellent for researching your flights gathered from my own experience and that of colleagues who travel extensively.

Kayak - A widely used search engine that will give you lots of fare options for flights.

Vayama - Especially good for international flights.

Skyscanner - This site includes some lesser known international budget airlines in the search.

Momondo - Another resource to check before booking.

Airfarewatchdog - You can sign up for their newsletter or daily alert. Lots of good unadvertised flights.

For international flights especially, I strongly recommend booking directly with the airline. If something needs changing it is much easier when you are working directly with the carrier involved.

Turkey

The issues in Turkey have unfortunately put a damper on reservations. I can understand the concerns and want to assure you that, on the ground, Turkey is absolutely a wonderful country to visit and travelers have not been affected by the demonstrations which are very localized. I have spoken with folks traveling in Turkey presently and everything is comfortable without concerns. That said, let's look forward to traveling to Turkey in 2014. The media, once again, has gotten carried away with images that don't honestly reflect the total picture. Take a peek at our present Turkey itinerary and plan to join us in 2014. I will be posting 2014 dates soon. This is one of those places that will surprise you with some of the friendliest people on the planet, ancient ruins that are stunning, Mediterranean food that makes dieting pure fun, and Cappadocia which itself is a reason to visit this land of enchantment.
