After the successful 1st and 2nd issues of Energize RE, the special Renewable Energy supplement Energize magazine, EE Publishers is producing a 3rd issue of Energize RE to be published in May 2015.

The 3rd issue of Energize RE will focus on utility-scale renewable energy, the successful bidders of the first three windows of the Department of Energy's Renewable Energy IPP programme, and roof-top PV systems.
  
The publication will therefore be a vital reference document for the electricity supply industry, and suppliers of products, systems and services to the emerging Renewable Energy sector in southern Africa

This is a CALL FOR PAPERS for the 3rd issue of Energize RE on
Renewable Energy topics such as:

Utility scale RE systems (REIPPP)
  • Completed projects windows 1& 2 - performance
  • Development of local renewable energy industry to supply systems and components
  • Assembly and manufacture of PV panels, mounting structures, inverters, tracking systems, monitoring and control systems
  • Wind turbine structures, components, control and monitoring 
  • Cables, transformers, switchgear and substations
  • Wind and solar measuring and logging systems
  • Testing and design validation of wind and PV systems
  • Operation and maintenance systems, practices and contracts
  • Protection systems for utility scale PV and wind farms
  • Financing and insurance of RE projects
  • Technology and system design trends
  • Storage systems for utility scale renewable energy systems
  • Wind and solar corridors development
Roof-top PV systems
  • Economics of roof-top PV or own generation - system sizing parameters, costs, benefits
  • Net metering and grid feed agreements
  • Standards and regulations
  • Trends in roof-top PV systems - operating voltage, inverters, storage
  • Impact on distribution network - voltage levels, protection, etc.
  • Completed roof-top projects, performance, owner experience etc
  • Growth of roof-top PV in SA and impact on local PV manufacturing potential
  • Effective use of roof-top PV energy
  • Protection systems for roof-top PV, fire protection, lightning, overcurrent, electric shock etc.

Papers of approximately 2000 to 3000 words should be submitted in editable MS Word format. Papers should be generic in nature, and should not have an overtly self-serving or commercial content.
  
Deadlines

Please submit the abstract / synopsis of your proposed paper as soon as possible, and the full-text paper in editable MS Word format by 15 February 2015.
