Three practical workshops from Comtest
You are cordially invited to attend three comprehensive practical training workshops on:
  1. How to reduce energy costs in your facility
  2. Fluke calibration and troubleshooting tools and practices for process technicians
  3. The Snell Level I and II certified thermography training programme
Details are as follows:

1. HOW TO REDUCE ENERGY COSTS IN YOUR FACILITY:
4-hour workshop including lunch

DATE: Thursday 27 March 2014
TIME: 09h00 to 12h30
VENUE: Comtest House, Enterprise Close, Linbro Park
COST:  Free-of-charge
REGISTRATION: Email tjohnson@comtest.co.za by 20 March 2014

The workshop will help you to identify and quantify energy waste in your facility and work with some new tools to achieve great results in a practical workshop.

Reducing energy consumption for businesses and facilities has become critical in South Africa today.  The utility bill details how much energy is being utilised, but it does not detail when, how or where that energy is being used.  It's crucial to know how much each of your building systems and operations cost to operate so that you can make informed decisions on what to change, fix or upgrade to streamline your power usage. You can't get ROI unless you know how much you are currently spending.

Join industry expert, Gerrit Barnard, Comtest's Power Quality Product manager, who will guide and inform you on issues such as: strategies to lower energy bills; measure and log power consumption; calculate the cost of compressed air; and quantify electrical cost of ventilation.

The workshop is targeted at the: plant maintenance engineer; OEM field service or energy consultant; facility manager; electrical or facility contractor; and energy inspector

Bonus: One lucky delegate will win a Fluke VT02 visual thermometer.

2. FLUKE CALIBRATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING TOOLS AND PRACTICES FOR PROCESS TECHNICIANS:
4-hour Workshop including lunch

DATE: Thursday 10 April 2014
TIME: 09h00 to 12h30
VENUE: Comtest House, 10 Enterprise Close, Linbro Park
COST:  Free-of-charge
REGISTRATION: Email tjohnson@comtest.co.za by 3 April 2014

Maintaining, building and calibrating process systems takes special expertise. Working in a process control environment such as pharmaceutical, petroleum or gaseous environment can be dangerous and difficult work. Experience how process instruments operate, why they need calibration, and learn how to troubleshoot in a practical workshop.

Comtest specialist product managers, Hilton Preston and Gavin van Rooy will guide and inform you on issues such as: testing 4 - 20 mA control loops; introduction to digital process control; testing and calibrating process temperature instruments; and testing and calibrating process pressure instruments.

Whether you working at a bench, out in the plant, or in the field, you need accurate tools you can count on. You will be provided with an "at-a-glance" guide to a wide range of multifunction mA loop, pressure and temperature calibrators.

3. THE SNELL LEVEL I AND II CERTIFIED THERMOGRAPHY TRAINING:
5-day certified Snell Level I and II thermography training programme

DATE:  Level I: 7 - 10 April 2014; Level II: 14 - 17 April 2014
VENUE: Comtest House, 10 Enterprise Close, Linbro Park
