The purpose of the debate is to unpack the subject so the audience and the media get a better understanding of the background, current key issues, policy decisions, technologies, solutions and business models for AMD remediation and mine-waste reclamation, and the way forward.   For many in the audience, it may be somewhat daunting to get to grips with all this during the short time of the debate itself.
