The course equips learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake field surveying tasks and duties in any working environment, by collecting and processing surveying data in different formats.The National Certificate: Surveying (NQF Level 4) will allow newcomers and unqualified surveyors to reach their full potential in terms of their knowledge and understanding of the surveying work environment. This qualification has been developed to assist with the professionalisation and improvement of the competency level of surveyors across the surveying and construction industries. TSMA is an accredited training service provider with the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA). This allows TSMA to provide training and assessment services in accordance with the unit standards contained in the South African Qualifications Authority's (SAQA) registered National Certificate in Surveying (SAQA ID 20486, NQF Level 4, 156 credits). The Assistant Engineering Surveyor Learnership is registered against this qualification, allowing employers implementing learnerships to claim against the Skills Development Levy (SDL) paid to the South African Revenue Service (SARS).TSMA's vision and mission is to improve the skills shortage in the surveying industry and advance the interests of the surveying profession in general. TSMA maintains the highest possible standards of professionalisation and work ethics to encourage uniformity of surveying practices and procedures.
The course consists of 13 - one-week skills programmes, presented at a rate of one skills programme per month, which means the course can be completed within approximately 13 months.

The lucky draw will take place at 6 pm on 23 July 2013 at the SASGI 2013 cocktail party. A representative from the winning company must be present at the draw to receive the prize. Should no representative be present, another entry will be drawn. Please note: The nominated learner must satisfy the admission requirements of the course to be considered. The winning company must allow the learner to follow the course programme, appoint a company mentor and give the learner sufficient opportunity to complete the portfolio of evidence (Logbook) in the workplace.
