Rally at the Capitol a Success!
Over 100 people concerned about Alzheimer's, including people living with the disease, care partners and Young Champions rallied at the Minnesota Capitol Rotunda on February 4 in support of important legislation to help working caregivers.

The advocates assembled were moved to action, as they were addressed by Alzheimer's Association Executive Director Sue Spalding, Young Champion Breanna Olson and Senator Carla Nelson (author of the Alzheimer's Caregiver Sick Leave Bill). Immediately following the program, advocates proceeded to the offices of their legislators to request support for the bill. Thanks to the work of Alzheimer's advocates, the Alzheimer's Caregiver Sick Leave Bill has an energetic trajectory in both houses of the Minnesota legislature and will likely pass this session.
