They Will Know You By Your Smile … Or Your Frown ~ by Ginger Marks
First impressions are all important in life,
but they are even more so when you are in
business. Think about how you react when you
meet someone who constantly complains? Do you
look forward to your get together with a
naysayer? Conversely do you smile when you
think of your next meeting with positive,
uplifting, happy colleagues? Given the option
which would you rather do business with? If
you are honest with yourself your answer is
obvious. You much prefer to do business with
an individual that has a positive attitude
than a negative one.
As I have continued to watch my business
thrive and grow over the last 30+ years I
have seen many others come and go. Great
strides are made when you face the world with
a positive attitude.
Your attitude is infectious. When you
are grumpy and cross with those you come in
contact people will react in one of two ways,
either they will avoid you altogether or they
will ignore you. When you are busy
complaining they are busy thinking of ways to
change the subject at the very least. Are
they apt to become customers? Probably not.
However just imagine how much can be
accomplished with one smile.

Get Website Keyword Help From Search Engines ~ by Janet Attard
If you want to get traffic to your website,
you or your webmaster will want to learn how
to choose and use keywords and key phrases in
your web pages and in any pay per click ads
you buy.
(For web novices reading, the terms keywords
and key phrases refer to the words and
phrases people search for on search engines
such as Google, MSN and Yahoo.)
Although choosing good keywords sounds like
it ought to be pretty easy, it's not. For one
thing, the people you want to find your site
may search for something quite different than
you'd expect. If you're a plumber, for
instance, you might expect potential
customers to search for words or phrases like
plumber or plumbing repair.
But that's not how people search on the web.
When someone goes to Google and searches for
the term, plumber, and sees there are
9,250,000 entries in Google for the term,
they'll usually do a second, more specific
search. They might search for "licensed
plumber in Farmington Hills" or "drain
cleaning," or "emergency plumber, " or "ask a
plumber" (if they think they can find a
how-to site to solve their problem). Or they
might misspell plumber and search for a
"plummer."

Article Syndication by Marnie Pehrson
Syndication: the process of
distributing articles, stories, columns,
photographs, comic strips, or other features
for simultaneous publication in a number of
web sites, newspapers or periodicals in
different localities.
When I first started IdeaMarketers.com back
in 1998, article marketing was a novel
concept. The idea of writing an article and
then accepting a resource box and link back
to your site for "payment" wasn't commonplace.
I actually received a lot of flack from
"professional writers" who felt they should
be paid for their articles and couldn't see
the logic in allowing others to use them for
"free." Still others felt that having every
"Tom, Dick and Mary" writing articles would
lead to pitiful content - that only those
professionally trained should be allowed to
write; and that when they did, they should
always receive monetary compensation.

Featured Reader - Yvonne Osinga-Bisk
Yvonne Bisk offered this
comment after
receiving her September Issue of the Rock
Solid Marketing Ezine:
Thank you for the latest Newsletter. With
pleasure, as usual, I read the latest issue
of your Newsletter. It is always very
informative and interesting. The sample
letters you always give to us so freely have
been an example for correspondence with my
customers and team members quite a few times.
Maybe not always literally, but they give me
the ideas and urge me to sit down and write
to the people that are so important for my
business.
I always wonder who is in the spotlight and
look forward to the tips. This month's quote
and the following article really hit me. Even
before I saw that you dedicated a whole
article to the quote, I had copied and pasted
it in the signature line of my e-mails. It's
powerful and oh so true ;-)
Thank you for again a great Newsletter,
Yvonne Levittown, NY
Yvonne further informed
me that her second
anniversary is this month. So NMS sends her
special anniversary wishes along with the
opportunity for you all to get to know this
special reader just a bit better.
My name is Yvonne and I live in Levittown on
Long Island in NY. I am originally from The
Netherlands and after living for about 8
years in the Dominican Republic I came to the
States in January 2004. I met my husband, we
got married half a year after we met (!!) and
I became the lucky step mom of a 18 year old
young woman and a 20 year old young man.
I started my first home business without
giving the company too much thought. I just
loved the products. That was a mistake and
after being burned out from months of
presentations that lead to nothing I started
investigating hundreds of companies. I read
P&P's, I studied compensation plans and I
checked company management and company
owners. I got wiser and chose my next
companies wiser. I now represent a few
companies, most health and wellness related.
I love to help people lead healthier lives. I
also like to share my knowledge about home
businesses and advise (WAH) Moms looking for
a business to find their niche and their
passion.
The list of my businesses can be viewed on my
Ryze page http://www.Ryze.com/go/hoyo888. MY
part-time work as a pre-school teacher ia one
of my passions. I love those little people.
My other passion is networking. Locally and
online. I have made wonderful friends online
and often hand out their fillers at my local
networking meetings ;-)
Take care and stay happy and healthy,
Yvonne Osinga-Bisk
