Partnerships vs. Competition ~ by Ginger Marks
Since the entire world has embraced the
Internet and its worldwide reach it is highly
likely that your forays will bring you in
touch with others in your same and/or similar
business. There are two ways you can react
when that happens. Either you can react
positively or negatively.
The way that people are made our automatic
response steers us in the direction of the
negative every time. We get upset, angry,
afraid, etc. But if you realize that is the
case and watch out for those negative
emotions when they try to overwhelm you, you
can turn those encounters into a positive,
business building adventure.
There are much more positive stances you can
implement. They will require a concerted
effort to change your natural reaction but if
you can overcome this challenge you will be
blessed by these meetings rather than destroyed.
The easiest thing you can do is to discover
the one thing that sets you apart from each
other and recommend a link exchange. Be sure
to focus on your differences and not the
formal titles or commonalities. Link
exchanges are only the beginning.

While You're Away the Vultures Will Play ~ by Kim Emerson
If you have been a member of any kind of
networking group for any length of time I am
sure you have noticed the human members begin
to resemble certain birds. It never fails;
humans become birds when given enough time
together in one enclosure.
There is the "chicken coop" variety. The
group that nits and picks at each other's
weaknesses until the weakest of the flock
"fly the coop".
Then there is the seagull mentality. "That
bug is mine. I don't care how long you have
been here on the dock waiting. You
snooze-you lose buddy, so get outta the way."
One of my favorite types of networkers is the
woodpecker-networker. That persistent little
carpenter's nightmare that just keeps
hammering away until the tree falls to the
earth in a pile of sawdust. Love to hang out
with them, I tell ya!

Eleven Ways To Find Customers by Janet Attard
What's the hardest thing about starting a
business? For many new business owners, the
answer is "Finding customers." Having a great
product or service that you are sure many
people will need isn't good enough. Customers
won't find you or your web site just because
you have started selling a product or
service. Indeed, most business owners have to
go on regular and frequent fishing trips to
find customers and keep new business coming
in their doors. But how do you do that? Here
are several suggestions to get you started.
Develop a plan. Consider who would
make the
ideal customer. If you sell to businesses,
consider what department is most likely to
buy your products or services, and what
individual (what level of responsibility)
would be the one to determine the specific
purchase requirements. (Make some calls if
you don't know!) Then consider how that
individual would normally find products or
services like yours. What circles do they
travel in? Who are they likely to listen to
or where do they look when they want to buy a
product or service. Find a way to put your
information, or yourself, in their path.
Realize there is no one path to success.
Sales often happen because prospective
customers hear about your products and
services in several different ways and from
several different sources. The more often
they hear about you, the more likely they are
to consider what you have to offer when they
are ready to buy.

Featured Reader - Teresa Morrow
Nibroc Marketing Solutions welcomes Teresa
Morrow as our Feature Reader this month.
Teresa Morrow, owner of Key Business
Partners, is a 35 year old native Floridian.
I really enjoy living in Florida even though
I have had a few propositions to live
elsewhere. Sometimes the humidity can be a
bit difficult to content with, however, I am
so not a fan of the cold", Ms. Morrow
explains. She lives in Florida with her
husband, Eddie and her daughter, Amanda. She
enjoys reading, yoga, cooking and writing on
her downtime.
Her administrative background began in 1992
and her skill set increased as the years
passed; working with "mom and pop" to Fortune
500 companies. She has been apart of such
industries as financial planning, property
management, landscaping and floor cleaning.
In 2005, she decided to leave the corporate
world and join her husband in his floor
cleaning business where she managed all the
administrative and marketing duties. Wanting
to expand her horizons even further, she
founded Key Business Partners, a virtual
assistant company specializes in helping the
online entrepreneur. With KBP, business
owners can concentrate on their money making
activities such as marketing and forming

KBP's motto is "Putting time back into your
