Plan To Succeed by Ginger Marks
Building a successful business is no easy task. It
takes commitment and dedication. Once you decide
on a product or service that resonates with you your
next few steps will make all the difference in your
success. Start with putting down on a piece of paper a
business plan. It amazes me how many small and
medium size business owners have not taken this
one important step. Without a business plan in place
you are headed down the road without a road map.
A business Plan doesn’t have to be 500 pages long
with every possible scenario explained in painstaking
detail but it does need to be written down. The simple
way to start is to tackle one section at a time. Sit down
and give it some serious thought. Then with paper
and pen in hand start out with writing your Mission
Statement. This is a simple paragraph or two that
states your heart felt reason for wanting to share your
product or service with others. For example my
Mission Statement for a volunteer group I founded
called the WINning
Sisters of Ryze reads like this:
Our Mission — We are a group of women dedicated to
bringing the best of the networking world to our sisters
so that they can network with efficiency and
effectiveness. Our goal is to enable and empower
each other with the knowledge of available resources
and proper networking etiquette, aptly named
Netiquette. We believe that when we warmly welcome
each other and sacrificially touch each others lives we
will all benefit from the interaction and the
relationships that we are able to build.
We seek to accomplish our mission by offering a
helping hand and a genuine, sisterly welcome to
those around us who may need assistance in getting
acclimated to this networking experience.
To complete this task we have developed a program
whereby members will identify and offer visitors a
personally guided tour of Ryze, enlightening them of
the available features and how tos to take advantage
of this valuable resource. It is with this purpose in
mind that we have created and now offer each of our
sister Ryzers the opportunity to attend an initial
orientation chat that will vary in its content. We are
dedicating time and effort to ensure that our fellow
networkers have a pleasant and welcoming
experience during their stay at Ryze and beyond.

Become a Back-Door Marketer - by Kim Emerson
I have never liked high pressure salesmen who
pound my door down (real or virtual) with the latest,
greatest thing-a-ma-gig. I’m what you might call
sensitive to manipulation of any kind. Manipulation
comes from a “lack” mentality; in other words when a
person fears that they are not going to get the desired
result without the use of “pulling the wool” over their
prospects eyes, or doing the “Texas side step”. As a
customer this approach makes me feel cheap and
used. And what’s more, I am only compelled to do
business with people who feel great about
themselves and what they have to offer. I am
compelled to follow a leader who exudes positive
energy.
Another reason I close the door to the fast-talking,
slick and aggressive salesperson is I want to keep
control of my own choices and when I feel that forceful
salesperson cramming my head full of “you can’t live
without this” kind of pitch I quite literally close down. I
don’t care how great their product or service is if they
start pushing me they can expect my door to close
rapidly and the deadbolt to engage. At that point, if I
liked the product, business, or service I will go looking
for someone else who has the same thing, but has
the back door approach.
I am a big fan of “back-door marketing” (a phrase I
coined a few months ago). You might be asking, what
exactly is back-door marketing? Just think about it for
a moment. Who are the people that generally come to
the back door? It’s not the door for a formal
introduction. The back-door or kitchen-door is where
you will find your friends and family; those that you
know and are comfortable with, those you trust.
So, how does one overcome their fear of rejection
when they are marketing so that they can build healthy
and lasting relationships? The answer to this is the
same no matter what you fear. The bottom line is to
fall in love with you. When you are confident with who
you are the rest will come naturally.
Most adults have experienced a variety of negative
events throughout their life that have caused them to
doubt their self-worth and their abilities. Some have
no clue how to get to the point of believing in
themselves let alone loving themselves. This is one
of the biggest reasons I felt led to teach and mentor
the Law of Attraction. I saw people crying out for help
and I stretched out my hand to them.
Every human was placed on this planet for a reason.
Every human has the capability to succeed. I have
devoted my life to help people find their reason and
the capability to be successful in their relationships
and business by showing them their inner muse.
Believe in yourself, become the back-door marketer
that everyone wants to know.

How to Stay Focused On Your Business Everyday - by Chris Carroll
The two most important tasks a work at home
business owner must do daily are too easily set aside
by the pull of parenting and spousal needs. We HAVE
to work our business everyday and stay focused. This
is especially important immediately after we sign-up
with a new company and even more so when we
launch our own home business. Develop a habit of
working your business everyday with an eye towards
accomplishing on business is something purposeful
everyday. What happens if we don’t? You won’t have
any income! I, for one, would have a problem with
that -- I mean the whole reason I work at home is to
have income and I am sure that’s fundamental reason
many of us have chosen to embrace our
entrepreneurial spirit. So what can we do everyday to
keep our businesses moving in the right direction?
How can you constantly run your business and tend to
your family’s needs without your business or your
family running you? The type of business you choose
will determine what are workable for you, but in
general, everyone needs to commit to perform the
following tasks daily.
Make customer service calls. Stay in touch
with your customers. Call them to see if they are
happy with the product or service they bought from
you. If it is makeup, make sure is the color is right and
if they like the way it looks and feels. If it is home
dcor, ask if the item meets their expectations. Are
they enjoying it? Have they gotten any complements
on it? Maybe these complements could lead to a
referral If not, perhaps you could stimulate a referral by
offering your customer a discount on their next
purchase. This has the additional benefit in that it
could further generate repeat business from your
existing client base. Even if you are a network
marketer selling affiliate programs, you should make
customer service calls. Think about what your USP
(Unique Selling Perspective) is. What can you do to
set yourself apart from the competition? It may be
something as simple as calling your customers that
purchased your eBook or information product.
Send a card for no apparent reason at all. A
well timed Thank You note or a Thinking of You card
sent to those you haven’t heard from in a while will
give you the chance to stay in the forefront of your
customer’s mind? At the very least you should send
out Birthday cards, if you keep track of your customer’s
birthday. Offer a small discount on their next order.
People love discounts but be careful of the word FREE
as they will be looking for the catch. This may be just
the thing to stimulate them to order. Be sure to send
Thank you for your referral cards with a discount
coupon inside; they are an awesome way to generate
additional sales.

Featured Reader & Her important question
This month our feature subscriber is Eleanor
Marks-Prior aka The Mexican Blackbird. Eleanor is a
Tastefully Simple Consultant and a Gold Canyon
Demonstrator. She states, "I love and enjoy doing
both". She is mom in a blended family with 5 kids;
yours, mine, and ours. That makes her one busy and
determined mom.
Eleanor is from Nevada and loves being a work at
home mom. Besides everything else she does in April
19. 2006 she founded Women in Direct Sales
Meetup.com. They are a group of direct sales moms
from companies like Gold Canyon Candles, Stuff A
Friend, and Pampered Chef. They offer a free directory
listing with your paid membership fee and at the rate
they are growing are expected to be a nationwide
listing in the very near future.
The motivation behind this group is to network, share
sales leads, find new sales recruits, and support
each other by being each others customers. This fits
right in to Nibroc’s Buy From Your Bud Philosophy.
Eleanor claims, “We are a group of UNSTOPPABLE
WOMEN with over 50 members. We have all the
companies and product we love and love to represent
and you'll love them to.”
For as little as $10 for a year's membership it is a
smart investment for those internet savvy, serious,
and committed business owners.
I am certain you can see why this bundle of fire has
garnered our attention. Way to go Eleanor, you are one
classy, determined chic destined to go far and take
others along with you.

I want to thank you again. I received a phone call from
a woman in Chicago on Friday who said she picked
up your magazine at a doctor's office and read my
article and was moved to call me. It was more than
amazing to see the results of my writing and how it
touched this woman. So I thank you again. I have
more articles coming. This past month has been
about remodeling my website but I am back on track
now so stay tuned.
