The last CSPA meeting of this school year will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 7:30 pm in the boardroom at the OCSB Office, 570 West Hunt Club, Ottawa. Our meetings are open to all OCSB school councils and parents/guardians. We are planning to livestream this meeting for those who cannot attend in person. We will email and tweet login information on Wednesday.
We are pleased to welcome Steve McCabe, Superintendent of Student Success, Leading & Learning, who will speak about how the OCSB is meeting the needs of First Nations, Metis and Inuit students. Steve will share highlights of initiatives implemented this year that enhance the learning experiences of our First Nations, Metis & Inuit students, and all students.

Spiritual Theme for 2016-17
The OCSB will be adopting a new spiritual theme for the 2016-17 school year, "Sent to be the Good News".
We'll learn more about the theme and how it will be used to deepen our commitment to the gift of faith in our lives in the Fall.

PIC Grant Report | June 17
Attention School Councils: In October, all OCSB schools received a PIC Grant cheque to be used towards Parent Involvement initiatives. This is a reminder that spending should be completed by June 10, 2015. All schools need to submit a report and ORIGINAL RECEIPTS to the Director's Office by June 17. Kudos to the schools who have already submitted their report!!

EQAO Testing
The EQAO standardized testing period for Grades 3, 6 and 9 will start at the end of the month in OCSB schools. Please check with your child's teacher for your school's specific testing dates.

International Summer Languages Camp
OCSB offers a FREE five week International Languages summer program for JK - Grade 8 students.
Morning programs operate July 4 - August 5. Afternoon summer camps are also available (fees apply). For more information, please visit the OCSB Continuing Education website:

PRO Grant Report | June 17
Some schools applied for and received a Parent Reaching Out (PRO) Grant from the Ministry of Education to be used towards parent involvement initiatives. If your school council received a PRO Grant for the 2015-16 school year, please remember that spending must be completed before the end of June. As well, schools need to submit an online report through the Ministry of Education grant application website: http://education.factorial.ca
A printed copy of the report and the original receipts must be submitted to the Director's Office, OCSB, by June 17. If you have any questions regarding submitting the final report and receipts, please email Sandra.Falcomer@ocsb.ca
