Angela McGerr spent over 30 years as a businesswoman before determining the need to bring a more spiritual focus into her life. In 1999, she was persuaded by her sister Joanna to follow her into Sekh Em energy healing, so that when both were suitably-qualified, they would be able to train others in healing and various related subjects.
On entering the world of energy healing, Angela's consulting business disappeared within two months and she became immersed in deep research on the subject of angels and angelic support in daily life. In fact you might almost say that Angela was hi-jacked by the angelic realm for a year and fast-tracked in the history of angels (Greek: angelos - winged messenger). She traced sacred writings on the subject through many belief systems back to the earliest recorded civilisation (Sumeria) and beyond, though angelology itself derives from the Essenes. Angela describes herself as a modern mystic, tasked with disseminating ancient, angelic wisdom, combined with brand new channellings, in a 21st Century format that is suitable for today's audience.
With the assistance of the angels, and using a simplified form of Essene philosophy with the addition of angels from other sources, she made her first set of angel cards and then approached a publisher. She was commissioned to write her first book A Harmony of Angels, published by Quadrille in hardback in October 2001. This book sold successfully and was reprinted several times. On the strength of this, a year later Quadrille agreed to publish the Harmony Angel Cards - still Angela's best-selling title so far. Angelic Abundance followed in September 2003, The Gold & Silver Guardians in September 2004, An Angel For Every Day in September 2005, Heart & Soul Angel Cards (a companion set for the Harmony Angel Cards which were re-printed with additional artworks) in August 2006, The Angel Quest of the Heart (2007), The Angel Almanac (2008) and the Love & Light Angel Cards (2009). Most are still in print and translations are available in Dutch, French, German, Lithuanian, Czech and Slovak, with more in the pipeline. Special US editions were published in 2007. A few months ago, collective sales of Angela's products topped 800,000 copies worldwide.

The Angel Year Book (Part 1)
This is filled with topical channellings containing advice from a host of angels, combined with Angelology instruction. Part 3: Angelology and Healing for Heart and Soul Quests
About Angels and Angelology
As those of you who have read my other works will know, the philosophy of Angelology contained in them is drawn from ancient wisdom, combined with modern information with which the angels have favoured me. Though depictions of winged messengers are as ancient as the oldest of glyphs (Sumerian clay cylinder seals c 7,000 plus years ago), Angelology is c 2,000 years old. It's linked to the Essenes, who believed that to work with angels every day was to find spiritual harmony. Therefore Angelology is the study of Angels and harmony, but what are angels exactly?
My own view is that angels can manifest in any form whatsoever, from humanoid to geometric shapes or twinkling clouds of energy. In the early days after my "wake-up" call in 1999 they did appear to me in meditation in humanoid form. I believe this is because they knew that at this time I would not otherwise recognise them. But in reality they are "spiritus dei" - the Love and Light breath of the Creator. Light is of course connected with colour also, and shades of colour; the higher the vibration the paler the colour, with the Seraphim (highest group of angels) at the pure, clear diamond vibration.
This means we need to raise (and keep raising) our own vibration to sense angels more easily. In this book we do that by self-healing, clearing blocks and gradually increasing our sophistication in how we connect with the angels. The first real connection (Heart Quest) is through healing and opening the higher heart with Love. On the Soul Quest, as our vibration rises further we can work with higher and higher groups of angels until finally we can hold Angelic Light within our own higher heart. This means we can reach through the 44:44 Angel Star Gate to connect with the highest of all: Seraphim, Star Angels of Creation, aiding personal and Planetary Ascension.
Working daily with the angels is the key to deepening your personal angelic connection, and the three meditations I voice on the CD accompanying this (Angel Almanac) book will also assist with this. Accompanied by Chas Cronk's lovely music, the first (with Cassiel) helps you find your Personal Guardian Angel and begin to experience Oneness with All. The second meditation (with Melchisadec and Ithuriel) is about healing and balance, moving you towards true self in the etheric Crystal Temple. Then there is guidance on Sacred Breathing to enhance energy work before Pistis Sophia and other angels offer an angelic route to Oneness within heart (Unity Consciousness) and Universal Harmony.

Angela's semi-autobiographical work: The Angel Quest of the Heart (a Labyrinthine Quest with Melchisadec, Hermes Trismegistos and Pistis Sophia) was published in October 2007. This is a two-book set. The first book is a narrative, based on Angela's own self-healing journey through the 7-turn 7-colour Labyrinth, in which the angels guide her in gradually healing each chakra, and then opening her higher heart flower, which is the 8th chakra - at the heart of the labyrinth - which is also the heart of the true self.
The second book contains meditations and mandalas, one for each colour of the Labyrinth, so that readers can undertake their own personal journey either once only, or many times, as each time will heal at a new level. In keeping with Angela's previous publications, the latest book features more beautiful artworks from Richard Rockwood.

WHY GOLD AND SILVER GUARDIANS?
Whatever gender we are born in, we all have both a masculine and feminine aspect to our personality. The male, or gold aspect, is the part that deals with our decision-making process. It powers logical and analytical thought and directs our actions, but if followed in isolation may not always lead to success. The female, silver aspect, is our passive side, the part that feels and thinks deeply, is sensitive, and intuitive rather than rational. Decisions directed solely by this side would also be unbalanced and once again may not always be fully successful.
It is only when we balance both gold and silver aspects correctly that we begin to think and act as rounded personalities. In this mode we are much more likely to take the most appropriate action for our highest good, because we are combining both logical and intuitive thought processes before making a decision. These more considered actions make us happiest and, because they are taken from a position of balance, also lead to our spiritual growth by ever guiding our steps towards even greater harmony.
When we've achieved gold and silver harmony we reach balance to third eye chakra. From there we move out of polarity into crown and Oneness, towards Unity Consciousness.

Are you such a seeker - a person who is tired of the materialism and destruction in the world? Someone who would like spiritual direction but, uncomfortable with the structure of established churches, not quite sure how to find it.
The good news is that by learning how to commune with Angels (God's messengers!) you will never be alone or lack spiritual guidance. Providing you are asking from your heart, you can call upon Angels any time and anywhere and receive their unconditional love!
Most of our detailed information on Angels does not come, as you might expect, from the Christian Bible, which names only three specific Angels: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. Although important, most of our knowledge comes from other ancient texts; Angels transcend any one religion and are found in Persian, Christian, Jewish and Moslem scriptures. The word Angel comes from the Greek "Angelos", meaning messenger. The earliest references are about 6,000 years old, with Angelic beings depicted on ancient Egyptian and Babylonian artefacts.
Although we can always call on our personal guardian Angel, there are hundreds of named Angels for given situations that we can call for specific help! The names themselves are magical and contain energy; even using the names brings you closer to the Angelic realms.
In the past, people trusted in calling on Angelic help. The faith was lost but is now being rediscovered. Around two thousand years ago a religious sect named the Essenes, living in Qumran on the shores of the Dead Sea, were skilled at healing and practised Angelology; the knowledge was handed down from the time when Joseph led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
Angelology is the belief that one must harmonise oneself physically and spiritually to achieve wellbeing. One way of achieving this is to commune with special Angels daily, in order to deal with differing aspects of life. The Essenes wrote about this in the Dead Sea Scrolls and their philosophy is just as valid today as it was in the time of Jesus. Indeed, some sources state that Jesus Christ himself was an Essene.
