New Precinct Chairs

The Dallas County Democratic Party Executive Committee just elected 52 new precinct chairs! (A few of  them are shown above being sworn in at Monday night's CEC meeting.) Congratulations, y'all! Let's get to work.

EARLY VOTING STARTS MONDAY

MORE HOURS and MORE LOCATIONS this year!!

This year Early Voting for the November General Election will start on Monday, October 24, and run through Friday, November 4. Our Democratic County Commissioners Court has voted to give us longer hours. Polls will be open EVERY DAY (except Sunday) from 7 AM to 7 PM. They have also given us several more locations, some of which are only open over the weekend and a few more for two days only. You can read the full schedule (and also find links to maps to help you find the Early Voting Location you wish to vote at) at this page:

http://www.dallascountyvotes.org/wp-content/uploads/EVLocations.pdf

Remember that you can vote early at ANY of the Early Voting Locations around the county.

Questions about Voter ID requirements? The Secretary of State has posted a flyer at this page:

http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/id/poster-11x17-aw-voter.pdf

The Republican Secretary of State only put this up at all because the federal courts ruled the Republican Texas photo ID requirement to be illegal, and then had to issue another court order because the Republicans were not obeying the first one. Potentially this affects hundreds of thousands of people who can now vote even if they do not have a driver's license or one of the other things the state tried to require.

Call the party office with any questions.

DCDP Comedy Show Oct. 25
