In Memory: Ann Hubener

On June 4 Ann Hubener passed away after a long illness. She had been an elected member of the Dallas County School Board and a long-time Democratic activist, having been a Precinct Chair and being twice elected as a national Convention Delegate from Texas. Her daughter Katy is a Justice of the Peace and her son James has also been elected to the Dallas County School Board.

Born in Ada, Oklahoma, in 1946, Ann had a degree in political science from UT Arlington, was in the real estate business and part-owner of a newspaper in Duncanville, and served on many boards and organizations including MetroTex Board of Realtors and the Best Southwest Chamber of Commerce. Besides her two children and their spouses, she was also a grandmother of five. She was tough, opinionated, and passionate about fighting against injustice, earning respect even from those who disagreed with her. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Downwinders at Risk, Dallas County Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton Campaign, Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.

Her full obit is at: http://www.jaynesmemorialchapel.com/obituaries/obituary-listings?obId=509004#/obituaryInfo

Those in attendance will be permitted to write out questions  for the candidates, which will be given to the moderator. Each candidate will be asked the same questions.
