Getting Hate Out of Our State

By now you've probably heard that the Texas' gay marriage ban was ruled unconstitutional by a federal district court judge in San Antonio yesterday afternoon.

But have you seen the reaction from Texas Republicans? They believe we should write narrow-minded, bigoted discrimination into our state constitution. They justify discrimination as a local issue, like we saw in the days when some states outlawed interracial marriage.

While they want to pass laws and run campaigns to pander to the fringe, we continue our work to show people that being a Democrat is about being a member of the community. While they want to tear people down, we are working to lift people up and take our state back.

  • Go vote now in the final days of early voting or vote on Election Day, March 4.
  • Volunteer now as we prepare for the November general election.
  • Support your Dallas County Democratic Party.

We haven't lost a contested countywide race to Republicans since 2005 and Dallas County is critical to statewide success this fall. Not just because winning is fun, but because it is time for change.

We're celebrating this huge news with you and working towards a bluer and more equal Texas.

 Democratically,
