As summer comes to an end, plans are coming together for a Dyslexia and Innovation Conference in the Spring!

Dyslexic Advantage Multisensory Teaching & Math Webinars

Our webinars are also in full swing. Please share them with teachers, tutors, or friends who might benefit by them. We're thrilled by the quality of the experts who are 
generously sharing their expertise and time. All webinars are recorded and posted, but attending live allows you to ask questions of these world-famous experts. Teachers in particular who get little if any specific instruction in teaching dyslexic students and they may find many of the webinars very helpful.

John Rodrigues' talk is below. In the first 15 min, John shares his early life through leaving high school and finding success as a cook and ice sculptor. After 15 min, John shares great tips about community college, his regular practice of talking to his teachers for every class and working with writing tutors in the disability office until a 7 page paper could be completed. Many pearls of wisdom for college and graduate students! We also enjoyed his tips for time management and finals. Great Stuff!

Dyslexia at Work Study: Professor Julie Logan  
Huge thanks all of you who completed Professor Logan's survey
on Dyslexia in the Workplace. This means the US will be included in her research study. To date, over 100 volunteers have completed her survey, and the number may even reach 150. 
 
Dyslexic Kindle Focus Group
Big thanks also to Seattle-area volunteers who will be meeting with Amazon to provide feedback on the Kindle so that it may be better designed for dyslexic users.

Dyslexic Medical Professionals Group

At Diane Green's recent webinar, Diane,  Dr. Chris Ford, and several other attendees, expressed interest in forming a Dyslexic Medical Professionals Group that would meet in our online webroom. Interested? Premeds, Med students, Physicians, Nurses, and other medical professionals are all welcome. First meeting will take place 5pm PST / 7 pm CST Aug 27th. Sign Up HERE
