Caroline Blair Wins Her First Match in a USTA Tournament

Caroline Blair, a 12-year old sixth grader who has participated in club groups for just over a year, won her first match in a USTA tournament over the Spring break at College Park Athletic Center, defeating Savannah Webb of Green Grove 7-5, 7-6 in a 2 1/2 hour match.  It was her second USTA tournament. Playing USTA tournaments is an important step for players who aspire to high school varsity success, providing a chance to compete against the best of their peers in Chicago and northern Illinois.  Congratulations to Caroline!

Pickleball Drop-in Times Available

See what all of the talk is about!  We have several drop-in times to choose from.  This is a non-team format and you control the level of play!  Typically we have about 20 people taking turns and rotating in and out of play.  It's a very relaxed, fun, and welcoming format.  Come join in the fun! What is Pickleball:  It's a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels and combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and is played on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.  Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on March 12th for the St. Patrick's Day Pickleball & Tennis Fundraiser for Sarah's Inn.  Through your generosity, we raised over $2,000 for Sarah's Inn and couldn't be more pleased!  Thank you to all who participated in making this a successful event.

Pilates is not only exercises you can do on the mat.  The true basis of Pilates is the piece of equipment called the reformer.  This machine is designed to leverage specific Pilates movements, to improve the overall mind and body connection.  It also helps exercisers to develop lean muscles overall, without adding bulk.  As a benefit to our active club members, it helps you to improve your tennis game by adding functional flexibility and smart, creative core strengthening.

Spring is Here - Time to Tune-Up Your Bike for Team Ten and Fit

The Spring season is a time of renewal and growth. We are able to get outdoors more often and with fewer layers of clothing.  It's time to take our fitness outdoors. Get your bike out of the garage or basement. Pump up the tires, check the brakes, and lubricate the chain.

In the Spinning® and SPINPower® classes we have been training for strength and endurance. How many hours have you spent riding the Spinner® bikes and not traveled an inch?  Let's take the fitness we've built and really move.  With Team Ten and Fit you have a chance  to use your training in a supportive environment.  Team Ten and Fit is a short list of some great running, walking, and cycling events in our area. Easy Reservations, Communications and Payments with MindBody Now Available at The Yoga Centre!

What is MindBody?
MindBody is a studio management software platform that will improve our check-in process, online registration and communications.  Our MindBody site is 'live', check it out here: MindBody-The Yoga Centre  And download the app for easy class check-in!     

When will we use it?
We will use MindBody for weekly class check-in starting April 1.  At that same time, we will also open up registration in MindBody for events taking place after May 1.  Note: All events taking place during the month of April will continue to take registration in Club Automation.  

What does this mean for you?
You will be able to register for classes and special events online or through the MindBody app. Download the app to see our class schedule online and reserve your spot in advance.
