Marketing Minute

This issue's marketing minute focuses on marketing your events.  Now that you've recruited these new Scouts to #BuildAnAdventure, make sure they KNOW about the upcoming adventures!  Communication is key, folks, and we cannot assume these new Scouting families will know everything about everything, especially the 'lingo' that we all use.  Let's be honest - did you know what YPT meant the first time you saw it?  (It's Youth Protection Training, in case you need a reminder.)

As you read in this issue, you'll see that we have the Launch/Fall Into Scouting events on September 12, with our council-wide service project, Soles 4 Souls.  Please "market" these events to your new Scouting families and make sure they understand both the fun and impact they will have on their child's life by attending these events and doing the service project.

One final note - be sure to take photos and post them on your Facebook walls and submit to your local newspapers!  Let's tell Scouting's story this year and show our communities just how we #BuildAnAdventure!

Rechartering Begins Soon

Our window of opportunity for rechartering will open on October 1, 2015.  You will receive your access code from our Registrar, Laura Stanifer, by that time.  If you do not receive your access code via e-mail by October 1st, please contact your District Executive.

Tour and Activity Plans

Tour and Activity plans are very important.  They ensure that proper planning has been done for any adventures that your unit is preparing to undertake.  We are here to support your adventures!
